For me it’s the M1 Garand. It’s just what comes to mind when you think rifle. It has a classic look but doesn’t look too old. A lot of the older bolt actions (mainly Mausers) with their straight stocks just look old to me.

For me its gotta have wood and its gotta have curves - sorry to the plastics crowd. From my safe that puts 2 bolts - a Mosin, a Swedish Mauser and (at the top of the list ..) my Savage 99 (a lever). I won't post pics because I don't have anything nearly as nice as the ones this thread starts out with, my guns are in used condition, not the beautiful collector condition pieces shown earlier here.
