I am looking for a decently accurate semi .22lr for around $1200k. I know the ruger competition is around that price point. Any other recommendations? I would be willing to build one if that would be the best for my price range.

I bought a Dlask TUF 22lr last year. It takes legal 10/22 mags and is all custom parts. July of 2020 I paid just under $1,200 for mine with a KIDD single stage trigger. The money stays in Canada, the company is Canadian and they build an excellent product. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 2nd one. I'm just passing my break in period and I'll update with ammo testing (of various brands) but it should have no issues putting 5 shots into 1/2" @50 yards. Its a great gun!

Dlask used to make (not sure they still do) and Greybirch is introducing a 10/22 action with a threaded receiver for a barrel nut, replacing the V Block. This should help accuracy. Also if you can get a chassis and receiver with provision for a rear tie down it would help. The Dlask was in your price range and the Greybirch should be in your price range, check with both.

I am saving to get a Dlask tuf 22 now. Should be able to get it in a month or two. Have heard nothing but great things about the rifle.

Whatever you do do not spend your money on a factory ruger 10/22. Trashy. Over priced. Go buy an aftermarket receiver, barrel, bolt and trigger and put it in the stock you want. Doesn’t get better than a full Kidd build on a stainless steel volquartsen. However I never use the rifle and have two of them in the EE now.

Another vote for the Kriss vector, solid firearm well built the same build quality of its big brothers. Seriously go handle one and if you have a chance shot one.

I was going to say, what do you expect from a $300 plinker but I see they are friggin 5-700 new for a basic plastic stock blued one, definitely way overpriced now, damn

I did a lot of online research for semi 22lrs. Was going to get a dlask.

Ended up just getting a Bergara BXR carbon $999. Could have gotten the steel barrel for only $829. Very good from everything I have read. Still shipping to me lol.

I think I'd get a Kriss Vector for a giggle.

Well built and fun to shoot for sure, but accurate? I'm finding it barely acceptable for accuracy. Then again, I'm going for same hole or touching, so take that with a grain of salt.

Most accurate I've semi's I've seen so far are custom 10/22s, Browning SA22 (not sure of grade or where it was built or if that even makes a difference), Old School Beretta Olimpia Supersport (down side is no aftermarket, scope mounts need to be ordered from italy and you are limited by what scopes fit).

I also have a Tanfoglio Appeal that is a blast to shoot but is tempermental. It can put all the rounds in 1 hole one moment, and the next they are everywhere (or vice versa). Trigger is abysmal on that one though, so I won't discount that being user.

If you are shooting standing, the appeal and the vector would probably be my picks as they are the more comfortable guns of the bunch.

I thought about building one but shopping on the net right now is a pig in the poke, retailers stock on parts is low. I did not want to start a build and then be stuck finding out a part to complete the project is out of stock.

So I just got a Ruger competition. So far pleased with fit and finish, have not shot it as I am looking for a scope and mounts

I did replace the steel bolt buffer.
