Just finished the last detail on the 1301T build, and wanted to let anyone who is doing the same know that the Vortex Crossfire Red Dot will mount easily on the Aridus Aimpoint CROM.

Keep in mind to place the front screw for the mount in its place prior to mounting the Vortex red dot onto the mount. I had a good feeling this one would work as the length dimensions are almost exact to the Aimpoint and it all worked out.

Beautiful. Nice job 1ABNDT. How do you like the full ring? I ordered my CROM with the Rob Haught mod but haven't tried it out yet, I had wondered which one I would have liked more.

Ty Hypoxia, I haven't fired the SG with the full ring or the "Rob" (purchased separately) although I didn't find the full ring to be any different from the OEM ring while doing some dry fire/shouldering R&D other than being a little thicker ring. Although the "Rob" definitely gives you more of a "uncluttered" view through the optic to the front sight. Overall I feel that both are more visible because the do not retain the "protective walls" like the OEM sight and sculpted more than the OEM. "Block"/"Rounded edges"

Now its a matter of re-adjusting the cheek weld for the lower optic so its automatic and your not searching for your hold, I will more than likely add neon green piant to the "Rob" to pick it up a little better against the black of the optic.

Keep in mind also different RDO could give you different views through them in relation to height.

I wish I could find a steel replacement charging handle, I got the competition model and was disappointed to see plastic charging handle with a warning to not let go when cleaning lol

It's 2 piece but maybe better than the OEM?

which option/s? I actually asked them if they will make one for Beretta 1301 Tac, wish it'll be sooner.

By the way, what torque screwdriver are you guys using for installing your mods?

I'm using a Wheeler " Fat Wrench "

I own an Aridus CROM. Just to clarify some info in this thread and hopefully help someone out — there are two versions of the CROM depending on the mounting pattern footprint: one is for the Aimpoint Micro Standard, and the other is for the Trijicon RMR Standard.

Any retailer of the CROM will ask you to select one of these two versions when you buy it.

The Aridus CROM that uses the Aimpoint Micro Standard will also work for the Vortex Crossfire and Sparc AR, Holosun 403 and 503 — and any of the Holosun or Vortex products that mimic the Aimpoint Micro body style and which use the same mounting pattern footprint. This CROM however will NOT fit the Holosun 507, 508 etc.

The Aridus CROM that uses the Trijicon RMR Standard will also work for the Trijicon SRO, Holosun 407, 507, 508.

So just a heads up to make sure you get the correct version of the CROM if you’re considering it. One does not fit all.
