Sulun Arms SS-211 at Tactical Imports!

As much as it infuriates me to see those scalping practices, I know there's nothing I can do about it but not buy it from them and add them to my ignore list. I would love to see everyone being upset about this since those people usually only buy with the intention to sell for a premium (this means less availability for everyone else) on those sort of practices but since there's 50% of people saying it's fair and 50% saying it's not, I just choose to shut up about it. When it's gonna be a even more lucrative business like the graphics cards issue where bots are buying and reselling and you won't be able to buy a gun because in 6 seconds all 200 new items have been sold, maybe we'll talk about this practice again and how it's detrimental to the whole industry.

Since when did the bots get their PALs. Sounds like a non issue.

But it would be restricted.

It is fine the way it is with inserts :) Apart from some fitment issues with the Chiappa insert kit.

no, it wouldnt.

a restricted firearm means

(a) a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,

(b) a firearm that

(i) is not a prohibited firearm,

(ii) has a barrel less than 470 mm in length, and

(iii) is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,

(c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or

(d) a firearm of any other kind that is prescribed to be a restricted firearm; (arme à feu à autorisation restreinte)

Compare to Dlask super shorties - they are NR with a fixed stock but R with a pistol grip.

oh the one you convert to a shorter LOP by changing the stock to a grip via a screw? via the integrated design features?

check out first few posts. You're misinterpreting.

Then so is the RCMP.

Check the notes to FRN 139668 (That's the Dlask shorty) - I believe this would apply here too:

"this firearm is normally Non-Restricted unless affected by the following conditions:1) by combining a barrel from a licensed firearms manufacturer that is less than 406mm (16.0") in length and a receiver/frame fitted with a pistol grip only, this firearm may be deemed a "handgun" and therefore "RESTRICTED" under the definition of "restricted firearm" in Part III/Firearms and Other Weapons of Section 84 (1) (a) of theCriminal Code of Canada."

Yes, the FRT is not law, and you can do as you see fit. But this is not the hill _I'm_ willing to die on so I won't do that or suggest to anyone that they do. In fact I think I'll sell off the pistol grip I have for the Dlask shorty just so it's nowhere near the gun...

And TI have said themselves that they had this gun set up with a stock _on purpose_... Yeah, post 24 - that's why there's a _minimally_ functional stock and pistol grip is not happening.

I really am not understanding the OAL regulations here. what a surprise regulations that don't make sense. so are you able to take a mra renagade and whack a 8 inch barrel on it to make some funky pdw type thing and it still be non restricted? I'm completely lost lol

Read the law, then again until you have it memorized. You'll be ahead of the cops ;)

No, _you_ can't whack anything off. The factory / manufacturer can make it in that length. Only applies to non-semi-autos.
