What is with the Chines bashing? Did you buy the Chinese made rifle just to bash Chinese? Why do you buy them if you are full of hate? Do you buy them to make them objects of scorn?

Lol poking fun at a few quirks chinese rifles have now equals HATE. Objective reality be damned, you will not talk ill of proud product of the People's Republic!!! I love t81's btw, but even if you were blindfolded you could most certainly ascertain their origin...

You seem to be an overly sensitive fanboy, OR a party apparatchik of some sort. Why so hateful ?

You sound like someone who would also make fun of Aborigional people and ask them not to be overly sensitive.

Dude, chill out, literally nobody here is insulting chinese people. Poking fun/pointing out lack of QC and (minor) objective issues with the rifle due to established Chinese manufacturing processes isnt hateful, racist, mean, or whatever the hell you're accusing people of. Its a type 81 thread, people are talking about type 81s. If you want to talk about racist boogeymen im sure you could go start a thread about that.

The Chinese do make good weapons for their military...the various clones that are meant for the civilian market can be a hit and miss, but they sure came a long way since the 90's.

Firearms should be separated from politics and should only be judged on their field performance and reliability.

Never mind.

Type 81 SE folder range report

Fit and finish are overall very good, I paired it with a '95 PLA sling instead of the more rustic type 56 sling from TI (recent PLA use of the T-81 was all with the T95 sling)
0 malfunctions out of approx 500 rounds of new Norinco non-corrosive 7.62x39
Rifle was decently well zero'd right out of the box, made consistent hits out to 200m (furthest my range goes). I made a slight adjustment to the elevation of the front sight post to align with my prefered sight picture. Windage was perfect out of the box.
I didn't do a good rested accuracy test but I would imagine with the ammo I used and the results I saw that it is somewhere in that 2-4 MOA range.
It is a great time to shoot, this is definitely near the top of my collection

Can you explain the no doubt reasonable explanation for that ? Or, are you as you appear to be, hysterically looking to impotently schoolmarm strangers for simply speaking their opinions ?

I honestly don’t get it. Yeah, guns sound good.

You need to understand that the civil market in China is almost zero for legal reasons. Without a domestic market, it is hard for them to find out something wrong just through overseas buyers. You can't force Zimbabwe to make decent electronic chips, right? We can certainly point out the problems with the gun, but there's no need to do it in a sarcastic or condescending way.
