tikka rifles

I have a ss T-3 Lite in 270 WSM and I like it a lot because it's a very functional, accurate rifle. Some guys don't like them because of all the "plastic" parts i.e. magazine, bolt shroud, but in reality, the magazine is really quite sturdy. Tikkas seem to consistantly shoot accurately... you don't hear to many guys complaining that their rifle won't shoot well.

I have a T3 Lite stainless in 22-250 and a T3 lite in 7mm-08.

I love them, very light, easy to carry, both shoot half MOA with handload and under MOA with factory. As far as the plastic mag goes, they are tough as hell and unlike a metal one, they will never get bent out of shape from sitting on one, dropping one etc.

Have several Varmint models in stainless...6.5X55, and just picked up one in .260Rem.
Accurate, good trigger, reliable....
I think you can see where this thread is going....:D

I have a T3 Varmint stainless in .223 greeat shooter! Constantly shoots under 1 moa, we took my uncle out for his first time shooting and he shot under 1 moa with it!

T-3 lite stainless in 30/06. Great for carrying all day. Because it's light weight, shooting 20 rounds or so at the range gives the shoulder a beating. I just put a limbsaver pad on it, so we will see if that helps.

hey first post, hi to everyone! looking to buy a tikka .300wsm, 270wsm,or 7mmwsm. need some advice on what is the best all round hunting rifle?? yes im fixed on a wsm.( all game)

thanks a bunch limit time.

I have 2 Tikka rifles. One is a laminated stainless in .243 ( wickedly accurate) and a .300WSM stainless synthetic.
I absolutley love them both.
free floated barrels from the factory, and have never had a group wider than 1". usually 3/4 or 1/2 groups.

I really like my Browning A bolt in .270WSM as well, but If I had to choose between the two.. it would be the Tikka.

2 in T3LS 270WSM (handloads with 140gr Accubonds @ 0.214 for a 5 shot group @ 100m), wanting a Varmint Stainless in 22-250 or 223. My buddy has a T3 LS 300WSM, T3 Tactical 223 and a T3 Varmint Stainless 22-250.

Great shooters, silky smooth action. For a big game huting rifle I prefer the LS model.

I have a M695 in .270win and absolutely love it.
I had the choice between the T3 or the old style and went with the old gun.
It fit me better.
I can shoot well under 1 m.o.a with just about everything I've tried and one lot of Federal 150 sp will actually come in around .25" regularly.
Great gun.

I am thinking of a T-3 in the Hunter model, as I like my wood and blued steel, in either .260 Remington or the 7mm-08.
I'd appreciate any feed back anyone may have on the wood/blued varients such as the Hunter Deluxe
Cheers,
Rick

I have aT3 stainless in 7mag and it has become my favorite deer hunting rifle.
Mine will shoot 2" or less (sometimes much less) groups at 100 yards with every ammo I have tried, just load up the bullet you want to use at the velocity you want to use it and go!

Another Important thing that no one ever talks about is that the rifle will shoot great no matter how you hold it or what you hold it on. I can rest the tip of the forend on a log and it still shoots to exactly the same place, the lock time is fast and the trigger was perfect out of the box. I can shoot his thing off hand better than every rifle I own with exception to my Rem 788.

THAT is what makes a good hunting rifle.

I also LOVE the composite trigger guard and clip that everyone yaps on and on about especially when it is -20 If there were a choice between metal or plastic I would actually CHOOSE the plastic.

Hi there! being lurking at this site for long time. I happen to own a older Tikka M695 Laminated S.S in 270Win. topped with Ziess 3x9 scope. Super accurate, using Federal Barnes XLC 130 gr.shooting consistently 3-shot groupings of 5/8" or better at 100yards.

I have a stainless T-3 lite in 30/06. Less than a box of shells through it but I'm very happy with it so far. Took a Muley with it year before last and a White Tail this year. Kicks pretty good on the bench but I never seem to notice in the stand.:D
