A buddy and I just got our outdoors card this year and are looking for an experienced group or seasoned individual to hunt with and learn the ropes. Doesn't have to be an expedition, even a day-trip wherever in the vicinity of the GTA (if such a place exists) is good enough and is actually preferable to start with probably, and any game from fowl to small to large is fine. We're both experienced with firearms, responsible and safe and have been in the firearms sport for years, just haven't gotten around to hunting yet. If you can help please reach out. Cheers.

Shame that you are so far East. Hospitable thing would be to help you out. Unless you voted Liberal...then I think you should be careful around sharp objects and revolving doors.

Thanks for the offer, just what I was hoping for but I checked your link and the departure date happens to be my wife's birthday week-end celebration (bloody hell!). I'd really like to make it happen another time? Good hunting. Piero

Great hunting experience

A great big thanks to Londonshooter for the opportunity of a first-time hunt on his splendid property north of Algonquin Park. Four great days hunting weather in good company, something I will remember forever. Day-two took down a doe from a tree-stand at 120 yards according to my range finder, using my Remington 700 BDL LH in 30-06 attached to a Burris 2X-7X 35mm Objective on 2X magnification. Good, clean, humane shot. Thanks for the memories, John!

Good on you guys. Dragged my brother out and he took a doe Wednesday in Corbeil. Might try to get out this weekend with temp drop, see if I can fill my buck tag.

Piero, it was a very enjoyable time for me as well. So glad you had a positive experience and success on first ever hunt. We did eat pretty well, too, no?
Another first for the week was my son's first buck. Somehow I managed not to see a single (live) deer, myself.
John
