Sounds good
I have a Spectre lower, IBI barrel and a Timney AR impact trigger , so far..lol
I’m undecided on an upper , not like there’s a lot of options anyway.

I’m thinking I might sell the Spectre lower and just get the TNA enhanced set.

Where did you get your LPK at ? TNA or Kodiac?

I bought everything but the barrel from TNA. Love those guys. Top tier customer service

Cool build! Did you get TNA to register it, or are you doing that after the parts to finish the build are in?

How about you mind your own business?

No offense intended. Just curious what the procedure is nowadays if someone wants to build their own restricted firearm for pinging at the range or running a two or three gun competition on the range. If someone wants to make their own safe queen, agreed, that's none of my business.

You're still playing their game? That's adorable.

Slick rifle btw op.

Yeah it'll be registered once I finish the build some time next year. Just threw the upper on the lower for a picture. No point registering it before its finished if the liberals might ban it tomorrow.

That looks great 👍

So I have been looking to jump into this platform. What is the weight of your build? How difficult is it to assemble compared to the AR-15? I know TNA has been producing a bunch of parts for them but I've been wanting a good idea of what I can customize and what I can't, including the upper and lower.

Really like your build and your easy to read layout of parts!

Can those parts work on a modern sporter set? I hear wk180c break often from over gasing issues.

The default gas port size on a WK barrel is drilled extra large to compensate for poor ammo and/or adverse conditions like extreme cold weather. This can be knock fasteners in the firearm loose. In particular, if the gas block's fasteners loosen, it can rotate out of alignment. This can cause torsion stress on the piston op rod, eventually leading to the piston rod snapping. It is advisable to apply high temperature thread locker to the gas block's fasteners, and then tightening them with the gas block in proper alignment.

The Modern Spotter's barrel's gas port will be drilled to a smaller standard. It may allow the firearm to function as is, but may need to be drilled out wider if the gun does not cycle your chosen ammo or cycle properly in adverse conditions. Depending on the gas port location, you will need the default WK piston op rod, a medium length one from Third Echelon, or a rifle length one from True North Arms. You may need a new handguard; a certain minimum height is required to accommodate the piston system.

If you want to use the Sporter's gas tube and handguard, you may want to wait until SBI releases its DI BCG for the WK.

The Modern Sporter uses all AR15 parts. Its "banned" in the frt which doesnt actually mean it is banned. But it does mean is that all it takes is one uneducated officer (most dont know sh*t about firearms) and you're spending a few months in prison while they sort out whether you actually broke a law or not.

I went with the 180 as currently, it isn't banned in the FRT or anywhere else. Though that will probably be coming next year some time.

Im hoping with the enhanced upper, brass bushing, adjustable gas block and well gassed top tier barrel with help negate some of the 180s inherent flaws. Time will tell.
