Can you shoot a 410 in your 12 ga?

Its only more expensive if you're not sitting on a stockpile of .410 but all out of 12ga.

Or maybe you want to start your kid out with a gentler sort of introduction to shotgunning.

Lol why tho? 410 is more expensive lol.

No , but been waiting a long time to be able to shoot pistol calibers from a 12 gauge

I bought a set of adapters that have .22, .38, 9mm, and I think .45. They're all smooth bore. The .22 is useless. The best was 9mm. I could hit a pie plate at 25 yards. All in all they're pretty disappointing. Rifled ones would be the way to go.

Prepare for disappointment. You know how precision shooting is all about repeatability? Making sure optics hold zero, actions bedded and torqued to a consistent specification? Bullet weights are carefully matched to twist rates to ensure stabilization? Op-rods and springs are upgraded to make sure that bolts return to the exact same place? How barrels are free-floated and tuned to enhance the harmonics?

This is the exact opposite. A relatively short and loose liner is placed in an inconsistent spot in direct contact with a barrel, the round is fired through a 3"-8" rifled bore and the adapter flexes and bumps around in the bore as the bullet. Ready for the next round!

In terms of utility for SHTF, when was the last time you were out traipsing through the woods and came across a box of ammo? More importantly, are you willing to pack a few pounds of steel as you trek through the wilderness hoping to stumble across some 28g or 45 Long Colt to save your ass from starving, or from starving predators?

If you're looking for some fun, this may give you ####s and giggles but reviews online are not favorable.

I have a kit that I bought from a now defunct company about 12 years ago that has 7 inch rifle barrels and as long as you clock the inserts the same every time (made a mark on mine so I can) all of the calibers I have shoot about 3 to 7" at 15 to 20 yards every time and I have been using them for the last decade.
Definitely by no means precision instruments but they are not meant to be and as far as a shtf scenario they definitely would be handy to get you to the bush taking care of nuisances along the way that would happen to have calibers you do not LOL.
But I digress, they really are more just fun for ####s and giggles

Not even. You're thinking {way} too hard.

Oh, you mean buy a pistol barrel and wrap it in hockey tape until it reaches a diameter of 21.590mm?

Oh maybe there ARE legitimate uses for NAPA oil filters...they just go INSIDE the barrel instead of outside!

To be clear, this post is entirely sarcasm. Nobody should use NAPA oil filters for anything. Not even filtering oil.
