Couldn’t sleep and was tired from knocking out corn media out of many flash holes the day before so I pulled the trigger on a Lyman Cyclone kit. Arrives Wednesday. I’ll keep the corn cob for cleanish brass. Anybody in Windsor area want some of my dusty walnut? I don’t care what anybody says, you can go 50/50 walnut and Nu finish car polish it’s still dusty.

Thanks guys I am so excited. No more dryer sheets in walnut media, corn in flash holes, etc.

What are the home brew recipes out there other than Dawn and Lemi-shine? I have lots of Dawn but where do you get the lemi-shine and which one?

You are suppose to clean the brass with the primer in using the dry tumblers. You deprime after cleaning and use a flash hole cleaner/scraper to clean the flash hole. some people don't clean the flash hole.

Agreed... however you are potentially subject to new pain in the a$$ with wet tumbling.

Luckily, It didn't happen too frequently when I reloaded 223 Remington, but you can get the odd piece of stainless steel wedged in the neck (or even the body) of a case.

Hopefully the pins that come with work well. I mostly load 20, 22 and 24 cal rifles.

Lemi Shine is citric acid. Buy a lifetime supply at a health food store for cheap.

I have had good success with three capfuls of Armor All Wash and Wax in lieu of Dawn. The brass does not tarnish when stored and it eases resizing just a bit.

ps. .22 brass works just as well as SS pins for the media.

I found the best way to dry and shake out the pins is to put the wet brass into mesh strainers and shake them, let em sit and dry then shake again. Never had a pin jam up the press to date.
