t3x vs x-bolt

Both are great rifles and accurate out of the box. I've had a number of Tikkas over the years but have moved to the Xbolt. I find the Xbolt feels better in the hand and I am a big fan of the Xbolt tang safety. Either way you go you can't really go wrong.

Im a bit (alot) of a Tikka snob myself. All mine shoot great and feel great to me. I have had 2 x-bolts in the past and wouldn’t buy another.

I’ve owned a couple of xbolt ss Stalker 7mm mag.
And a couple of Tikkas tx

Currently running with a Tikka TX CTR in 6.5 PRC.

I find the Xbolts feel a little bit better in the hand.
And they’re are a bit above the Tikka in fit and finish.
Adjustable triggers on both are pretty much even.

I like the Tikka more , based on its after market support.
Easier barrel swaps etc.

If it weren’t for that, I would have kep the Xbolt.

Short action I went with tikka.
Long action I went with browning.

It was mainly because of rate of twists and magazine lengths for OAL of my reloaded rounds.

I like the tikka t3x lite over the x bolt.the browning is better looking to me,but when it comes down to it the tikka fits me better and I find it very accurrate, both arrest rifles.

Find a way to handle both, or better yet see if you can find a way to shoot examples of each. Because at this point it will just be a matter of preference and no one else can tell you your preference.

i own a browning a-bolt medallion in 270 which i really don't think is the greatest thing to use in the bush. I can buy a used x-bolt in 308 or a new t3 for $100 more, i forgot to say i am a left hand shot so my choices are limited

I've owned both rifles in the past, both are great hunting rifles. You won't go wrong with each of them. Just go to your LGS, put your hands on and feel which one is more fit.

Both are good rifles, I have owned both, the only factory stock I liked was the Tikka Forest so most were re-stocked in Boyd's stocks, I prefer the X Bolt for the tang safety and flush fitting magazine. My wife's rifle is a Tikka I don't own either anymore. I could see getting another X Bolt, doubt if I would buy another Tikka. Can't go wrong with either.
