Yep I usually pick up a 12.3 converted auto but the prices are already way above what I would pay. Plus another 30% buyers premium and taxes and then add on shipping. I guess the prices show a strong gun market

This CNo7 certainly has a lot going for it - has a premium birch stock set probably worth $700 - 900 , barrel $1000 and a 1953 dated receiver - so it doesn't take long to added up the cost. Since it's a 1953 receiver it's post WW2 and butt socket will not be ground off.. Bolt and receiver are unserialized so it's a best guess when it was put together. All the components look genuine. Has an early rear sight. It will be interesting where the price finish up.

Well, it went for $3300. plus 15% commission, plus tax. That is about $4300, all in.

Yeah, came close on this one, but it's just a story, no documents to accompany the provenance so I couldn't pull the trigger.
