Do you own one, and what are your impressions ?

I see you can get a few different variations of the Browning black label and Bersa thunder, both in 380

huge price difference, the browning from $879 to $1300 and the bersa $449 to $500

I'm also interested in this. I've never handled either, but based on photos it really looks like the Browning has a "very nice" finish and the Bersa is "not bad".

If the Bersa didn't have that extra barrel length, I'd probably already own one in nickle with walnut grips.

Factoring in price, I would heavily favour the Bersa. It is a more classic and compact 380 platform.

800 plus gets you many decent 9mm options that arent going to kick more than the compact browning 1911 in 380.

The browning is an option if you really want a 1911 but the standard size is too big for the shooter. That is the only niche I can see though or if you have a stock pile of 380 ammo and money isn’t a factor. 9mm ammo is probably cheaper than 380.

I have the bersa but not the browning so maybe I’m missing some of the browning’s attributes.

I have held the Browning. Its like a 3/4 size 1911. very thin. very light. very nice fitting as well. was impressed. It didnt feel anything like the gsg 1911.
I would like to handle a bersa. see how it feels.
I tried contacting Tactical imports to buy one and ask a few questions. but after 4 days of trying, I gave up.
I see MAXTECH ammo, box of 50 for 19bucks for the 380

I have both. The Browning by a long shot. The Bersa is not bad, just not as well made. They are both comfortable in the hand, but the Browning is better. Not sure it's 2.5 times the price better, but if money is the big issue, get the Bersa. All other roads lead to the Browning.

Banana for scale?

Kidding. Haven't had the Bersa but would recommend the Browning which I see you went with. For anyone else wondering, or who finds this thread in the future I've had the Browning before and loved it, great for small hands, shoots well, mine was not a tack driver but good enough for playing around.

I actually just finished a deal on another 380 Browning LOL
its the black model with the lower combat sites. I just couldn't pass it up.
should see it next week. Its not nearly as nice. I will defiantly get the SIDES Polished like the other one.

The Browning .380 is a pretty fun pistol, if money isn't an issue it's what I'd recommend. The Bersa is a good buy too though. I haven't had any issues at all with either.

thanks.
I tried to buy a bersa, but couldn't get a hold of anyone at TI . tried buying on line, it wouldnt accept my credit card.
They all sold out and that was the end of that LOL

Bummer. The only real way to know your preference is to handle side by side. Glad you are happy with your Browning(s) though.

If anyone hears of a source for the Bersa, please post it up here!
