Wk180 .22LR

lol, ammo isnt that expensive. but i would say it is a expensive sport. same as gas, if its getting expensive, are we all going to stop driving?

The problem with the term "expensive" is that it is relative to each individual. 80 cents per pull to some guys might be a bargain but to those on a tight budget, it might be a deal breaker. I reload all my 9mm and .223 for the cost savings but alot of guys don't bother reloading those calibers as the savings per round can be not worth it to some of us.

I don’t know where you get your ammo but $700-800 is expensive .. if your happy paying that good for you but in my world that’s expensive considering 2 years ago it was half that. This post wasn’t to debate the word expensive and it’s relativity. It was about 22Lr in a wk180.

sorry, my bad. i didnt mean for it to be a price/ammo debate.

would be pretty cool to make a .22lr conversion for the wk if that was possible.

I think your missing the point… it’s a conversion that lets you shoot cheap.. not to have a dedicated 22 but a bolt that you swap in and out as needed like the cmmg kit was for the ar15

I put this same question to Wolverine a few weeks back in their dealer forum. No response. I was also thinking a cmmg type kit drop in.

With the insane prices on ammo these day is there a chance you guys might introduce a .22lr conversion similar to the ar15 conversion ? Maybe I’m wrong but I think there would be quite the market for it!

Thanks for the Question. Stan has been working on it but it is still a ways off from production

Fun project I suppose? But 1), would you have enough gas to cycle? Maybe with a new bolt carrier and light springs?
2) why would you want to bother when you could buy a perfectly good 10/22 for the same price? I've tried them all and it really doesn't get much better than that for semi auto plinking.

It would work fine. gas wouldn’t be an issue if it was designed like the cmmg.
