Ultimatum contact

I met one of the Ultimatum guys at the German IWA trade show a week ago. If I understood right there were some internal changes but all seems go.

I hope so! A company that has been in the industry for even as long as they have been I’m surprised they have survived with 0 communication skills and years of issues with it. I really want a deuce but they won’t respond
 
so they fly to Germany and stay for a show but can’t respond to basic emails in order to sell an action
WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM, would quit shooting before that happens

they are a bit of a joke
 
A friend ordered a barreled action over a month ago. Not a single point of contact. Multiple email/voice mail inquiries Re; ETA unanswered. Pretty piss poor CS and communication.

I order a left hand barreled action 9-24-21 was told 6-8 weeks. Sent an email 12-13-21 and was told waiting on the next run of left handed actions 8-10 weeks. I received an email yesterday (3-25-22) saying my order would be refunded. I also noticed their site says no new orders until further notice. Pretty disappointed to say the least

Brutal. That would be disappointing. Sorry.

My friend gave up trying to contact them, either for a delivery date or refund, and got his money back thru his CC. Bought a LH Defiance instead.
 
it is "that time of year" for trade shows and perhaps this company is too small and shuts down whenever they need to haul kit to a trade show in the states, canada or elsewhere in the world. I've been to many wholesaler events this time of year in a former job as a purchasing agent so either they have had a complete clusterphuck happen to their business or maybe they are just a small company that is away at tradeshows..... who knows. I am receiver shopping so this thread is good timing and I'll steer clear of this company's product

It seems like this has been fairly consistent MO for Ultimatum. They are relatively unavailable year round.

I'm not an Ultimatum fan, I think they make a lot of funny and questionable design decisions with their actions, and find their offerings very underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the action market. That said, I feel bad for owners and prospective owners of Ultimatums that are getting the run around and zero customer service.
 
We’ve have given up. This was suppose to be for an all Canadian team builds (4 rifles). Over 75 phone calls, 2-3 dozen emails, Facebook messages, Instagram messages, and even reached out to people in the industry who deal with them and have gotten 1 response which weeks in weeks back without finishing what we needed.

Haha I have a bunch of those. We changed game plans on Sunday, discussed the builds and now as of Wednesday it sounds like everything is now a go which is the way it should of been. I just really wanted to try a deuce for comparison and give ultimatum a chance but that is absolutely the worst communication and service I’ve ever seen!!

New builds should hopefully be wrapped up in 10ish weeks

Kthomas have you actually had an ultimatum in your hands?

Unfortunately there's not many down here, so at this point I can only comment on the design aspects on the action. There is a number of people trying to get them down here, but Ultimatum has no customer service so people are cancelling orders left, right and center.

I hear some people really enjoy them though.

These are some pretty harsh words coming from someone that hasn’t even seen one. I’m disappointed with the resent ghosting
Of customer just as much as everyone else. My guess is they have suffered to close to the point of no return like some many other Canadian businesses, probably had to let go of staff and or can’t find any staff just like a lot of others. There are also horrible supply chain issues right now. It would be a terrible time to try and establish a business like this. Right at the same time they are rolling out so many new products. Of course this is all speculation.
This all doesn’t change the fact that the deadline is one of the nicest actions I’ve had my hands on. I also just picked up a second hand deuce. If they are closing down I sure hope that I can get my hands on some spare parts. But hopefully they are not and will make a come back. Hopefully people will understand the times we are in right now and give them a second chance.

Those are my honest opinions. Of course, they reflect solely my opinions, and shouldn't invalidate anyone else's opinions or experience with the product. Just my own personal thoughts.

I do hope that Ultimatum gets their act together. More options is always better than less options to the consumer, losing a brand is not beneficial to anyone.

Hopefully this is merely a speed bump in their business, and they get back to 100% soon.
 
i preordered my defacto in 2020, got a message back in january this year that it would ship in 4-6 weeks, that was the last i heard from them.
