What are the guns you regret NOT buying before the OIC?

I was thinking, the other day, that I really regret not buying a NR XCR-M before the OIC. Then, I saw a NR Scorpion on an American forum, and thought to myself "why in the hell didn't I buy one of those, too, when I could??"

So, for me, my regrets would be NR Scorpion and XCR-M

Are any of you suffering "non-buyer's remorse" like I am?

I would have liked a VZ-58 in 5.56 to go with the one I may or may not still have in 7.62x39. They sure would be better firearms to have than most of the excrement we can buy today.

I don't really understand anyone regretting not buying something that is useless now anyhow? If we aren't ultimately somehow grandfathered, then anyone who bought expecting they would be, got suckered?

Useless or not, I still want them. Look at all of the guys who have owned prohibs they can't use since the '90s... hell, I'd also like a FAL, AUG, G3 and Galil like those guys if I could, even though they'd also be stuck in my safe. If you don't understand it, I can't explain it to you. If the government doesn't want me to have something, that's just another reason I want to own it.

I had a norinco m305 and it was a POS, M14 medic couldn't even fix it. I really really wanted to get the springfield m14 but never did :(

Not useless. Stored safely in your home in case of emergency.

My regret is a 50 bmg

A 12.2, 12.3, 12,4 and all the rest when I was busy chasing skirts back it the 70's and 80's. I did catch some skirts!! My dad didn't renew his prohib pistol licence and the 3 pistols are gone. We both lost.

I agree. It's like books that get banned and then people are hankering to buy them at wildly inflated prices. There is something very alluring about not allowing someone else to dictate your freedom to own something.

I have talked with many people who even if they had a short time to use their now-prohibs, don't regret the purchase whatsoever, as they enjoyed what bought even if it was for a short length of time. Ultimately, they still own it even though they can't really do anything with it. Sometimes just owning something and being able to look at it and handle it is satisfaction in and of itself (as those with high value graded hockey cards, stamps, etc. can attest). I know some folks that are happy to take out their safe queens just to clean and lube it and keep it in pristine shape. Perhaps it's more simply just a pride of ownership thing, though I suspect it is highly more correlated with thumbing one's nose to government intimation of what they can and cannot own.
