CZ Bren 2 MS in stock

Really? I don't remember having to call in to the RCMP and ask them for permission to buy or sell my NR guns. Do you? I never needed to wait a week for them to transfer over the "ownership" and then wait for them to send me paperwork giving me permission to store and transport the gun, do you?

"NR and R makes no difference in terms of confiscation" LOL. I hope you realize the one and only reason why there are still semi-autos available in Canada is solely because of non restricted rifles. If every gun was restricted, they would have banned them all by now.

And believe it or not, you can still "keep" your NR rifles long after they are banned or long after your license expires. Do I need to explain this for you too? The only way the government can take your NR rifles is solely if you allow them.

i apologize if i presented my argument wrong, however i cannot help but notice the contradiction in your own sentences, "wait a week for them and permission to store and transport the gun", you should try not to apply and pay for the PAL renewal next time and see what happens to all your firearms. and believe or not you can still "keep" your ARs, because its never about confiscation but to make your life hell should you knowingly not submit to the government, similar to a certain protest happened a while ago, "yes you can protest but we freeze your bank account" i hope you get my point. im sorry, its just not all of us have the luxury to still keep the banned NR firearms like "criminals" when the risk is our jobs and livelihood.

now onto the main topic, the x39 version of this rifle has/had QC issues, including chambering and gas ports, the military version of the gas system is different from the CZ USA civilian ones, CZ tried to fix it, but you can still look up the issues online, albeit its mainly when you switch the gas port size and its more of an issue with suppressed firing. so i hope everyone will do their own research before jumping on the hype train, when the canadian NR first gen arrives its bound to have some problems like many platforms before.

people joke about it is HB industries bren 2 rather than CZ bren 2 because HBI provided more support than CZ itself, and to those who's asking about the stock, HBI would be the one to get a proper stock, and fulllength handguard for the respective barrel length. i doubt IRG is going to do a combo

I’m going to ask a question that’s already been asked… but I am hoping someone knows the answer…

NR or Restricted I don’t much care, I want to know if I can get a stock for it. Does anyone know? To me it’s completely useless without the proper stock on it.

yes you can, if you decides to get it now from IRG(the way it is now, restricted), you can get a proper stock on HB Industries, you will also want to swap out the handguard because its super short(doesnt matter which barrel length, handguard is the same), and anything longer than 8inch barrel, the barrel is going to be exposed, also the super short handguard will certainly interfere with your support hand placement and bump into the charging handle

You cannot keep your AR's. You cannot hide them or lose them in a "boating accident" even if you wanted too. The RCMP know you own them, they know where it is and they know you're not allowed to take them out of your house without their permission. No matter what you do, you will be charged if you choose not to hand it over.

Go ahead, try and sell your restricted firearm without their permission and see what happens to you. It's your property isn't it? So why would you need their permission to sell something you own?

Oh that's right, it's because you don't own it. The RCMP does. They're just transferring the lease to someone else.

With restricted rifles you don't have a choice. With NR's you do. And it's a big difference. I can guarantee you that every single person here would love to trade their AR-15 receivers for a Modern Sporter receiver. Both are banned, but one of them comes with true ownership.

Well said about the RCMP lease lmao. I’ll never buy another Restricted rifle again.

true ownership requires no licensing to begin with. yes i would swap ar receiver for a sporter receiver because it provides the false sense of security: it works great in theory and i can take it to crown land, but in all practicality unless you are dead serious about the entire "never using bank account and only cash, living deep innawood with punji pit filled with your own feces" thing, you will still lose your NRs. dont forget you are under scrutiny no matter what because of your pal, the very existence of this cgn account will help rcmp trace back to you, im sorry but im going to say it: licensing leads to confiscation, not registration

get IRG to throw a cheap stock on those babies and bring them in as restricted RIFLES.then we can throw a long barrel on and change them to NR,,and we still have the shortie for the fun times,

Except this model is already registered as a pistol so it could never be converted to NR with a barrel extension.

there's another option you fail to mention, you can notify the RCMP that you voluntarily destroyed your AR lower,no proof required and completely legal.you just need to advise them you destroyed YOUR own property within 15 days.,you can be pretty sure there will be a lot of certificates of voluntary destruction being filled the day they decide they want them,LOL.eveything on that stupid ban list, they have NO CLUE who has what or where,so those they will NEVER see come in,

Agreed, people underestimate just how passive, in the term “passive-aggressive”, the states enforcement behavior has become.

Look how it handled the vax. It was this ultra society saving, grandma saving, healthcare system saving miracle magic bullet, and you were literally Hitler if you didn’t take it, yet they still couldn’t force people. Just send them robocalls and fire them from their federal bureaucrat gang jobs.

This entire system is built on a facade and they are writing cheques they can’t cash hand over fist, literally and figuratively. Nothing but bluffs and weak, creepy neuroticism from this puppet regime.

I think none? These were IIRC imported to the USA as pistols and so there isn’t a stock. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

"In pistol form, the Bren 2 Ms comes with a flush rear plate that has the provision for attaching a AR-style buffer tube for the installation of an arm brace, cheek rest or similar pistol stabilizing device. For those who wish to SBR, a Carbine buffer tube and stock can be installed or the entire rear plate can be removed and replaced with a factory folding/adjustable stock."

They are just sold as pistols for the US market stocks are available from CZ USA for users that want to form 1 (Convert from pistol to SBR)

Also it seems like the end plate can accept AR carbine buffer tubes for use with braces in the USA but that isn't an issue here.

Will be interesting to see if IRG can as a Class 3 dealer can assemble these with stocks before import to get them a commercial version class rather than pistol only.

Lol.
IRG isn't selling then cuz they are our only option then or now. Theu are selling them cuz they have them instock and for sale NOW. Be it a pistol version or not. Seems several in this thread already said they have ordered so they don't seem to care or not if it is restricted and range bound only or not.
Having a choice is a good thing. I love short barrel rifles but I also love the choice of making it NR or not.
A pistol tho will always be a pistol

Weren't Scorpion Evo US "pistol" models imported as restricted rifles? I believe seeing them at my lgs with a stock sold seperatly.
