Ultimatum contact

So what is actually going on at Ultimatum?

This is bizarre. There has been hardly no communication from them. They are holding onto customers money, with zero communication in regards to the challenges Ultimatum is facing and what they are doing to rectify the situation/get their feet back on the ground.

Usually companies are a lot more communicative than this, especially when having issues. But its been almost a complete communications/media blackout.

A few posts above yours is the public statement from Ultimatum. I think you are being a bit overbearing asking for more from them. They've said what they want to say, I think it's fair to leave it at that.

That public statement says very little, and leaves more questions than answers - look at all the responses in here. Some think they are going under. Most public statements from companies are much more descriptive than this two sentence one.

Anyways, its their company to run, not mine. But I think that public statement is going to be having people ask more questions, not less. In fact, they already are.

you are a very good member very here but I must respectfully criticize you for this post

one should never “heard a rumour”

just post the FACTS that some forum posters have had orders cancelled, bad communication skills by company and so on

Yep I,think, they are belly up but that is my opinion, folks cannot get support for parts and so on based on this website members posting concerns

there may be a lot of truth to RUMOURS but we should on,y post facts or ask a question in a better manner

I think the owners have been very lackadaisical in their approach to these concerns

AND I HOPE THAT COMPANY IS BROKE AND DOES NOT TAKE ANYONE ELSES MONEY

or comes on and tells all to,salvage their reputation such as it is

I completely DISTRUST websites that will not say who the owners are

beware folks

again the reference to the member who posted the reason for this reply is a very upstanding member and his approach to this matter was just not thought through enough to post the proper question
with respect to that member

Amen

I think the brand is beyond repair at this point, even if they aren’t defunct. I have a Deadline and Duce and love both, I hope they get bought up by IBI or MDT and don’t just evaporate.

I’m not sure MDT makes the most sense, they do a lot of OEM business and I’m not sure also selling complete rifles will be worth the potential competitive complication. IBI though, they have a great reputation and ultimatums have already been selling with those barrels for years. I think the only way these actions survive is an IBI acquisition.

I hate to see a company fold and especially another option for us in the shooting community but the way they handle business it’s like they were never running in the first place. With that said, there are a few of the deuce is see im comp and people talk very highly about them, and ibi’s reputation is excellent. To see them turn it around would be awesome but I doubt it.

I still really want a deuce but if something ever happened I wouldn’t be able to get parts, warranty or help.

I have a Duce, I wouldn’t trade it for any other high end 22. I hope if it gets picked up they change the name, Duce is horrible.

That's reminiscent of il Duce, the fascist dictator of Italy before and during WW II. It's from a Latin term dux for leader. The term duke is a derivative.

The Ultimatum Deuce is a .22 rimfire barreled action. It should make for a great shooter. Deuce often refers to the two on dice or playing cards.

Has anyone ordered from the ultimatum website recently? I just picked up a used barreled action and would like to purchase a 223 bolt head. Their website says they have them in stock but with the company's history, not sure if that's a smart move.

Good luck. Lots of horror stories of guys ordering "in stock" items from ultimatum and it taking a year. There was an awesome deal for a barreled action on the EE(maybe you bought it, lol), but for me it wasn't worth the amazing price if I had to rely on ultimatum for any help or support.

I might place an order with them and risk it. The price is pretty reasonable. That was me that bought the barreled action on the EE, only ever used a howa so I'm excited to try it out.

Let us know how that goes. You'll like the action. I handled one at reliable gun and I was impressed with the feel. I had a howa once and it feels like poo in comparison

Great thinking….. that’s what’s happening now.
