A German acquaintance pronounced it "Crick-oh" but most people seem to prefer "Creek-oh". Any idea what is correct?

Correct or not I have never heard it other than 'Creek-oh'... first time in the 70's. And how would an Australian pronounce it?

Does it really matter? What about 'Sako' ?

I always pronounced it, creek-oh. I still call a Sako, say-co. I don't concern myself whether it is pronounced correctly or not, as long as the other person understands what you are "trying" to say.

Oh boy, I’ve been calling sawcos saycos for years and now my cryco is a creeco? I’ve been putting hard vowels in French words for years, mostly just to piss off the people who care. Just a hick from the sticks.

Haha. Like lee-a-pold.

On another note, Krico's are not known very well. However, they are one of a few under-rated and under-valued rifles, especially when they are manufactured from Germany. I always hear great reviews from Krico owners on how accurate they are and how smooth the bolt works.

The Krico rifles are decent firearms. I had one at 1000 yards a couple of decades ago to
shoot in hunter class. [At the time, rules were: sporter weight, 2.5 lb trigger, factory ammo,
scope max 9X] This Krico was chambered 300 Win Mag, and the ammunition I used was
just plain old Federal 180 grain SP loadings.

I was surprised when I chrony'd this ammo. It was loping along at 2850 fps or so
[30-06 velocities], but the rifle loved it! End result? a 7½" group at 1000. Not shabby at all. Dave.

He may be fishing with a magnet now that spring brake up is here?????
Only problem I have seen with them, is the wood seems to be real brittle on them.
I run into lots with busted wood, even on the 22's
Crreco? 1/2 the time now one know what the hell I am talking about anyway. Or writing.
