Wow is no one discussing the MP7 in the EE?

It's like the TAVOR.. How many people "hesitated" to spend 3k -- not too many Im sure..

If the TAVOR can sell for 3K so can this...

The Tavor is also unrestricted, shoots 5.56 and can use AR mags

16K is what? A G36, G36K, and UMP together or one SMG that you better be collecting brass because you will never have ammo again.

Wouldn't you still need to get bullets and dies to reload for it?

Using that logic, there is no point in buying any resticted gun above 22 caliber. Or even buying any restricted gun in the first place. All a restricted is good for is shooting paper.

If your selecting your restricted firearms based on bullet penetration and are willing to pay $16K for one with better terminal ballistics....knock yourself out. I shoot guns for a living among other things so I don't get draw up into these emotional discussions on which caliber penetrates best. In Canada, for restricted, it is a mute point, shoot whatever floats your boat....but $16K on the basis that it has better penetration? Hey, its your money....this is almost like my son's type of discussions...what would kick butt better, a fire breathing dragon or Godzilla with lazer beam eyes.....at the end of the day, does it really matter? I guess if you have $16K in your pocket screaming for a purpose it does!

Cheers

The guns are currently held by an agency... they are used but only a few years old and fully operational... not many rounds through them at all.

As I said earlier, these guns were offered to us and we turned them down because we didn't think there would be enough interest. Problem is that we have to "buy them all or nothing". For me to do that I'd need at least 30 confirmed orders... simple as that.

We would need a 10% deposit to guarantee your "sincerity" and that would be totally refunded if the "deal" doesn't go through and we don't buy them (not enough interest).

I would work towards a selling price of $2,000 to $3,000 each and if we can't sell them for that then we'd refund the deposits and call it a day.

Ammo... we don't sell ammo and there hasn't been ammo for sale through civilian channels simply because there was no demand for it (no civy guns means no civilian's asking for ammo) but, if 30 to 50 of these guns are in civilian hands then there is an instant demand for ammo and I'm sure at least one of the companies that import and sell ammo in this country will be happy to accept your business... that's easily 50,000 to 100,000 rounds to start and that's a justifiable quantity to handle for someone.

Mark, if the price goes 2grandish, with a supply of ammo, I'd go for it. It's the 3grand level that would get me killed by the misses.

Again... I think people are missing the point.

No-one is going to bring in 100,000 rounds of ammo BEFORE they know there is a market for it... so people saying "I'm interested if there is ammo and mags, etc." is the same as saying what we said originally "not interested as there isn't a market for them".

The only way it happens is if 30 or more people agree to buy the gun... they will have to wait a bit for the ammo... but it will come. Heck, if those 30 buyers then get together and order 1 or 2 cases each we'll import the ammo for you... but we're not going to do all fo this on the "HOPE" that people will buy the guns and/or ammo. Sorry... I'm just not willing to go that far out on a limb. Not for this item anyway.

Mark

To be honest, I don't mind paying 2000 bucks but there needs to be enough magazines to come with it.

Ammo-wise, there must be some assurance that ammo could be obtained, even if they are not readily available.

OK, GT has clarified what I was trying to say. For instance if it comes with only one mag, and no more can be imported, or if there is some German law that prevents ammo coming, or whatever, it makes it a useless hunk of plastic and steel. I'd buy it to shoot it. And price wise, $2000 and $3000 is a wide spread. Like GT said, $2000 will makes us jump.

Couldn't even see the post myself :(

Strange enough, when I bought my mark23 there was a leafet of the MP7 among the gun catalogs at my club, and they said they could get it... I didn't asked for a price and frankly I though they were BSing me on that one until today ! As far as the gun goes it must be really cool, but ammo have to be harvested in an unobtanium mine where stinkin' civilians are verboten.
