Finding Pistols and Revolvers

Unfortunately you picked the wrong time to start purchasing. You will be very hard pressed to find exactly what you want and if you do you will likely pay too much.

Try to do your handgun shopping online. The days of going in to handle 8 different handgun models to find the one that is just right for you are gone. Missed by a couple of months!

Yeah pretty much all gone, try looking at your local classifieds sights that’s where I got 5 of my current 6 handguns got another 4 I’m waiting on transfers for, I only started buying handguns on the 3rd of June , even got a couple package deals from local guys

The worst of the panic buying is probably over until the deadline nears. Some stuff is becoming available from dealers but it's a trickle. Keep checking in and if something tickles your fancy, buy it ASAP. Good idea to already have an account registered with online sellers so you can jump fast.

Still a selection on the EE here. You likely won't get to handle them , so pick a caliber and decide single action/double action/semi auto and go for it.

If you want a Colt Python 357 4.25" revolver. There is a new one for sale for $2799 plus taxes & shipping. It's still available from a sponsor:
https://www.firearmsoutletcanada.com/colt-python-357-mag-4-25-python-sp4wts.html

$500 over priced and someone already bought the 6" version for the same price. At that price, better to just spend a few hundred more for a desert eagle magnum or a S&W revolver if can be found which I personally have not for many weeks.

Check out arms east, irunguns and prophet (all site sponsors). They all have inventory of various goodies.

The days of walking into a store and seeing the handgun yourself is no more. Yes, it can be done but if you're having troubles locally, it's time to go online.

Good luck!

There are still lots of pistols and revolvers to be had, if you look. Check Tenda, G4C, and Prophet River (among many others) for example. Not as many as before, but more than in many countries', and - if you waste any more time dithering about it - more than there will be.

Just do it.

Well I just had to buy the Alfa Proj .22LR Hunter Carbine. I have the .357mag one and it seemed lonely so now I have the .22LR one as well. If it ever arrives haha.

trudeaus new law closing imports of HGs did it to me.

hi I am new on here and dealing with my father's estate. I have my PAL and my restricted but decided I was not interested in dad's Ruger. And I cannot take his little pearl handled Rossi revolver as it is now classified as prohibited so it has to be mailed or picked up. Both are .22

Hi everyone, I'm am looking to get into pistols and revolvers however i'm finding most of the local gun stores where i live are all sold out. Is this the case across canada right now?

You do have your Rpal I presume, if so , ust check all the online dealers, and the EE, I just sold a 45 couple days ago.

Check out siwash sports in Chilliwack. They sell online and have a bunch of good pistols in stock, for now… also G4C, Dante, and Arms East have had a somewhat decent selection. Irunguns has a Canik Rival (have to follow links to their Canadian store) which most people would recommend and they’re all you need if you wanted to play around with amateur competitive / hobby race shooting.

but my guess after this weekend most stores will be sold out of everything and some may not be getting anything else at all.

Don't you dare let that prohib go to Trudeau. As the executor your can possess it same as your father. Until you can figure out what to do with it. You should be able to get a 12(7) on your license and transfer it to yourself.

Was in Siwash this morning, my wife bought her first handgun. Her RPAL came in the mail a couple weeks ago.

A rossi would not qualify as a 12-7, but it would sell O.K. for the right price as it is a cheap 22

Only reason I got my RPAL was so that I could control where and when those guns go. Always had my regular PAL as there are lots of rifles and shotguns too. With my POA I know I can hold on to the Ruger and/or transfer it but I don't want the politics now, but RCMP was adamant I cannot transport or do anything other than mail to an approved seller like EPPS or an individual comes to the house with their prohibited license for the Rossi.Timing just sucks as dad just went into long term care in May and we're just getting house ready to sell. Didn't see the bill coming (too busy) so should have dealt with them right in May not now. I'm Eastern Ontario BTW.
