Prophet River's Handguns and future shipments

Not to take away from the Herculean task that the PR staff have gone through over the last week or two, but I couldn't help but notice a few of the other Canadian online retailers have just dumped a swack of restricteds on their websites. Almost looks like they were stockpiling... Most interesting thing to note is the prices, 15-30% higher than a few weeks ago (and the same 15-30 more than on stuff PR has been selling over the last 14 days). I see one 44 revolver they had last week at $1400 is now $1800 (keep in mind they may have been paying more from wholesale, but prices are up across the board). A 629 hunter i had been looking at was 1800 and is now 2600+ (this damn inflation...). Mind you, I spent my wad on PR stuff, so I guess others will buy from them. At least this should mean that the speculative buyers aren't going to be making the big bucks come late September, maybe some end-user purchasers will be able to buy what they are after.
Will definitely check PR first when supplying up in the future, vs the Ontario stores ( although bullseye and CGS haven't up their prices either). Being loyal to the customer earns that treatment going the other way too.
 
Well after seeing the dump of new products from other retailers today with “market adjustment” prices, all I can say I’m glad to have done my shopping with PR. It’s a free market and other retailers can choose to do what they want to make money but I would hope everyone would be trying to make the sport as accessible as possible.

Moving forward I’m going to be exclusively purchasing all my firearms and related products with PR even if I have to wait longer for certain products. Thank you to Clay and his staff for their outstanding and honest service during these times and for supporting the firearms community in Canada.
 
Just bought my first sig legion from PR. Seeing them not gouge customers like other retailers are doing right now will mean earning a repeat customer here when I need to buy ammo, optics etc. for my other guns. I realize prices are higher than a few months ago due to shipping costs, limited stock from suppliers etc. but there is a limit to what's reasonable and you have shown a lot of integrity with your pricing. Take your time with my order, no rush but thanks for all of the long nights getting the inventory that you could into the country and up for sale.
