I do agree in normal times, but PR replied to the original guy saying they would not be getting what he was looking for. So in this case - not a loss of sale for PR?

I disagree. If a retailer isn't able to supply what the customer is after, its perfectly acceptable to list an alternative supplier (especially one that also sponsers the overall forum).
This is a community forum, not PR's personal website. People may have different concepts of acceptable behaviour, but this is clearly helping out the community. We aren't in a situation where Clay can order and have this in stock in 3 months. So, in the end, it sends a sale PR could not have made to another retailer than can fulfill the sale, and a CGN member gets help finding what they want.
 
I'm to sure if PR is ok with it but you have one thing wrong this is PR private portion of the forum, they pay for it would be good to check with them before hand.

Ummmm...WRONG! There are general forums for that purpose. This is PR's forum that they pay for.

Read the terms of use rules you agreed to when you registered on this site. Specifically the section titled "Manner and Etiquette in the Business Member Forums".

That should correct your misinterpretation of what a site sponsor's forum is to be used for.

Thanks guys. Normally, of course, we'd prefer to keep this about our business. In this case, we are simply trying to get as many firearms into people's hands as possible. I have no issue with posting a link to another sponsor , especially if we simply can no longer supply. Appreciate guys pointing out both 'sides' though.

Yea no disrespect meant by the post for another business. This had already came up in this thread. PR has stated they have no more of a specific item. Just now trying to help people out by getting them to the remaining suppliers. Also, usually if one person asks something there are several more wondering the same thing. Instead of multiple posts of the same thing, just helping in one shot.
 
I bought a sig m17 from another retailer 3 weeks ago. They still haven’t initiated the transfer, last I heard they are still waiting for the shipment to arrive, they forgot to mention that when they listed it for sale..

Today I bought another sig m17 from prophet river. Already got the transfer initiated and the reference number within 2 hours, $200 cheaper than what I paid at the other retailer.

Thank you PR, 10/10 service.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered a Sig legion from tenda almost a month ago and they say they are still waiting for shipment. Saw an Xfive full on PR (along with 6 other guns) and bought from there. Already have transfer numbers and serial numbers. I'm losing hope tenda will even get the one gun I stupidly ordered from them.

I'm in a similar boat with PR actually. My transfer has been approved, but they're still awaiting shipment of the gen 3 G21's, or at least the shipment that has my pistol on it.

Tenda seemed to be behind for whatever reason. I just received a transfer ref number for something i purchased few weeks back.

I must say. PR does have the fastest reference update. usually within 24 hrs I see someone updating the file already! Thank you!
 
How long has it taken you guys to get a reference number from Prophet River? Ordered a Glock 48 a little over a week ago and still don't have one.
