Since I am new so I am wondering about how many handguns is one allowed to own? How many handguns do gun owners own on average?

I read somewhere that not more than ten, if so then you might expect a visit from cops?

Many

But serious. Think about this. You buy say 1 to 2 new ones per year and when you are 50 you have 5 safes full. Give or take. But that all stops in Oct.

So use that line of credit. Credit was tight in the 80s and 90s. Now it's easy to get credit anywhere.

Here is the part about inspecting for more than ten firearms . from the firearms Act

Inspection

102 (1) Subject to section 104, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with this Act and the regulations, an inspector may at any reasonable time enter and inspect any place where the inspector believes on reasonable grounds a business is being carried on or there is a record of a business, any place in which the inspector believes on reasonable grounds there is a gun collection or a record in relation to a gun collection or any place in which the inspector believes on reasonable grounds there is a prohibited firearm or there are more than 10 firearms

Inspection of dwelling-house

104 (1) An inspector may not enter a dwelling-house under section 102 except

(a) on reasonable notice to the owner or occupant, except where a business is being carried on in the dwelling-house; and

(b) with the consent of the occupant or under a warrant.

My CC is on life support. Relatives seem to have a low need in organs for sale...

It depends on the size of your house. When all the rooms are full and hallways become impassible, it can become a fire escape hazard.
It is at this point it may be wise to stop buying guns. Generally this would be in the thousands (not hundreds) of units.

Addition:
I got sucked into posting here. The OP is a troll, not seeking real conversation and answers.

Self-identifying as a collector gives the inspectors an opening to inspect your belongings, house and security systems. Being a shooter has none of those risks to your peace of mind.

Thanks, that means I can buy some more, awesome.

This 10 gun thing I have heard for many years, it is BS
I also have been a collector , and a shooter for more yrs than I care to think about, How many times has my collection been inspected? 0 times.
If they want they can inspect, but if you are a target shooter they can inspect also, just need a warrant if you say no, and they have grounds, they will come in.
Just buy more guns ,if you want, Every one is buying , so a few more will not make any difference, the Feds can't keep up .

I think it is reasonable to assume that if you have had your gun license, for any amount of time, you have more than 10 guns....................

Yep I also am a collector and have way more than 10. Never been inspected in over 40 years . But it is in the books. I think if you bought 10 Glocks all the same model you might get a call
