Transfer times in BC

Had 3 more transfers approved yesterday while on the road. First call getting through the lady was very unhelpful. I asked if she could check the status of a few transfers and instead of starting with my name/PAL/ref# she just said "transfer are taking 4 to 5 months, we don't check on the status". I didn't waste any time with her, just hung up and resumed power calling. Second lady was the exact oppsite. Took my name and PAL and said "do you mind if I put you on hold?" back 3 minutes later with 2 incoming and one outgoing approved.

luck of the draw.

The majority of the CFO officers will do transfers each time you call. There are a couple who have a different mindset. You can just call back and will likely get someone to complete the transfers.

How many over-the-phone approvals has everyone been able to get done if you have multiple pending transfers? For example, if you have 10 pending restricteds, is it possible to get them all approved at once?

the max they did for me was 3 in a row. but the next one said 2 only ... it was so easy when it was only one day and approved ...

I believe the most I had approved in one call was 7. 4 in coming and 3 out going. None more than a week old. It really all depends who you get on the phone.

For BC ask for Kelly. She is very helpful and very professional. She did 20 of mine over the phone along with my PAL approval and the remaining ten the next week as promised by her on the phone.

It’s insane how inefficient these bums are..

I’m still waiting on several transfers from Early July..

They must hire for diversity and not skill knowledge or usefulness.

Seems like it is faster now... Transfer 6054### started Oct 20 and approved Oct 21. Took exactly two phone calls on my part, one to Miramichi at 31:59 total time and one to the BC CFO the next day at 38:20 total time.

How did you pass by my 6014###

Helps to read… I’m Ontario. Fawk!

This won't you feel better, but it does make a difference where you live. Aside from apparently more gang activity in ON, you simply have a large population and it takes more time to complete background checks on more transfers than in BC. Our ladies doing the transfers out here are professional and in the main very helpful.

The CFP has changed their recording... again, just to rub it in our faces. As such I thought I would re post the number with the correct number of pauses.

You just have to keep calling. Having the number saved and programmed to push the buttons for you is going to make it a lot easier. I have initated about a dozen transfers, 6 in the last few weeks and it does not take me more than an hour to get through with non stop calling. I've gotten to the point where people are suprised when I conference them for their half of the transfer.

Program the number into your phone as such: 1-800-731-4000,1,,,,,,,,4,2
Each comma is a 2 sec pause, you phone will dial the first number then it will pause then push the 1 then pause for 12sec (to wait for the annoying new recording) then it will press the 4 and so on.

If using Android, with the keypad open, start entering the number, then press the three dot button in the top right corner and here you will have the add the pause. Add as many pauses as called for.

If using an iPhone, you have to add the number in a new contact. When you add the number there will be a button in the bottom left corner of the keypad (+*#), select this and there is where you can add the pause as needed.

Doing this all you have to do is press Send and End when you get the "We're sorry..." bit, hang up and just press send again.
