IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

found interesting that the mag provided are genuinely 5 rounds. i thought they were pinned and checked against ak47 5 rounds same size and way smaller than the ak47 10 rounds.

if you look really close it is pinned, and if you take the floorplate of the magazine off you can see it too

There is a very tiny pin in black that locks the mag to 5 round, it is a 10 round mag.

Seems what all it takes is only 120 rounds, anyone fired more than that and did a inspection to see if you have a gap in between your stock and frame?
The stock issue starts to arise. I bet rifle replacement won't address the design problem. Need to get a reinforced stock.

Well, seems the stuff you worry about is coming true

when you checked it did you set one mag ontop of the other or lay them side by side? when you lay mags side by side, especially ar and ak style mags you get a neat visual illusion of one being smaller than the other.

200 in this past wknd and still tight. Hoping TI is working on a plan though.

Manufacturer is doing additional testing and development and is working on an strengthened stock we can either send to client directly or replace if they want to send back. Still a very rare issue, we are only single digits reported, less then 1%. In meantime, any reported cases we will replace as stated. And reinforcement is ok as long as screw-hole is pre-drilled to prevent splitting

Would all who purchased rifles be able to get the "strengthened" stock as a replacement?

I had no doubt you guys would take care of your customers.
It should be easy enough to come up with a better design that's for sure.

Time will tell how many stocks break, I'm sure many people have not really had a chance to get out and use their rifles yet.
I have not been following closely but here on CGN there seems to be at least 3 from what I can see. I guess if you guys already sold over 300 units that would be all of them.

Haven't used mine I did dissemble on cleaning and found wood split already inside reciever so havent tried to use it. They did offer me a replacement rifle but that seems like a waste of shipping costs for both ways I hope they do offer just a stock the reinstall will be pretty easy. I don't mind waiting either i did already suggest that to them

They should pay shipping costs 10000000%

Even though I did the stock reinforcement and I am confident with it now for regular use, I still think the design is weak for situations such as an accidental drop at certain angles, which can break the stock in front of the pins. The stock reinforcement some of us did only addresses the force of holding up the rifle by the grip or the forward force of the bolt when the rifle re-chambers

I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for a much more robust stock upgrade too. The rest of the rifle is really nice and worth the price.

Thank you TI for being awesome and dealing with these issues ! I'm so excited for this awesome rifle and this stock issue has been a drag, hoping adding a screw as mentioned wil keep her steady. Just double checking, will you be sending everyone who bought a SR a new reinforced stock ? Cheers

they re very good for that and paid the shipping back and forth when i had an issue with my kobra sight.

was just stating would be a wasted cost for TI to pay for rifle back and forth but yes I know they would be good for shipping I understand there will be some users who won't be comfortable changing the stock themselves
