Final stages on an invention for Glock 17 Gen 4

So far so good? I think that I have proved to you that this was not just an idea on paper but a true work in progress. No matter of the perceived usefulness of the device, it is still a new concept, a new design, an invention, developing right before your eyes. I hope that I have earned some of your trust here and we can continue on our journey together...:rockOn::canadaFlag:

Take care of your family if you have one, spend some quality time with them, save the money to buy your wife, if you have one, a good gift.

Ok I will get to the point right now, frankly and bluntly:
Your thinking that this so-called invention is so unique that no other firearm manufacturers have even thought about it perfectly demonstrated your narcissism and ignorance. You are living in your own world that you are oblivious to the world.

Just wake up and move on. You are not special you are not smart and your stuff is not unique or even useful.

Have you contacted any LE to see if this is something to put more effort in it Or something they be intrested in ?

Because you say you want to save officers, but your device might put their lives in stake. So please contact LE officers and see what they think.

bro thats a bit harsh haha

I will say this, I think your invention is interesting as hell but cumbersome and not practical. keep in mind people tend to be lazy and prefer minimal effort. Your invention requires user to wear a ring? stuff like that gets lost or forgotten. then when needed to use dont have it, kind of a liability issue there also. A more practical invention is a holster that makes unauthorized use difficult in a tussle situation. which already exists.

Wake up dude, the world doesn't think as high as you do yourself. I have seen too many people seeing themselves as geniuses but in fact they are just mediocre. In this world vast majorities (I would say 99%) are just average Joe, you are, I am too.

I'm getting the same vibe. The first rule of design is to not overcomplicate, especially when it comes to firearms. Proper training will save more lives than this. The chance of it not working or being one more thing to gum up if the firearm is dirty is not a chance even a huge company like glock would risk the liability of, let alone one guy himself.

Laugh2 This made my day! I should start telling this to my kids every day so they go completely WOKE!!! Kill their drive, maybe tie a rope around their necks and since there is nothing to live or strife for... My happiness is MY CHOICE! I have a life, I am providing for my kids, I have a house, wife is happy. If I give up my dreams I better die because I will not be a drone! I do not think that I am a genius but just a handyman.
 
I could be wrong but hasnt this idea been around for decades . I remember guns that you wore a ring that was magnetic to take them off safe.

Yes, the Magna ring. It's for DA revolvers and pistols like Colt 1911. This device does not require a ring but a tiny magnet in the glove between your thumb and index finger.
 
This is not a good idea.

Sorry for being direct, but there is far too much liability in a gun that may be require to function and doesn't due to a device such as this.

Has it been extensively recoil tested?

How about wear testing on the trigger bar?

I have significant weapon handling experience and I don't know of a single organisation that would adopt something like this without significant testing and evaluation.

Also I agree with others that have brought up the gloves being an issue.

What happens when you smash the magnet since they are super brittle and it rips a hole and falls out? Officer will need multiple pairs.Working in the rain and got soaked or providing first aid and cover in blood, and they get tossed.

Plus I cannot see a piece of metal in my web of my hand, be that comfortable to shoot.

I am hoping very soon to go and drop it into a real Glock and dry-fire test it to work out any "kinks" and after that go to the range and put it through at least a few hundred rounds to see how it will react to foiling and how comfortable is going to be on the hand.
