Want to go hunting? I will take a card carrying Liberal or NDP member hunting in Sask

Too bad the rest of you chads mocking the OP don't give others the same offer. I don't know the OP at all, and don't care if they are a braggart. Their offer is a good one. The more new people introduced to hunting, the longer the sport and way of life will continue to thrive.

Although OP you'd probably have better success posting on a different forum than a gun one. Maybe a local Sask one catering to outdoors people, campers or hikers.

The offer isn't a good one - if it was, the op would have posted it in those other forums first like you mentioned. He's posting it here because of another thread in the hunting forum. And while I agree that the future of hunting is dependant on introducing more new people to hunting, some hunters are simply not good ambassadors. Judging by his post history, if there's one member on this site that has the potential to turn people off of hunting, its this guy. His posts go way beyond just being a braggart.

And without a doubt, many of the "chads" as you call them give others the same offer....they just don't trumpet it in a hunting forum.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

If you could reason with a liberal there’d be no liberals….
Lots of new Canadians in firearm safety courses. Mentor one of them on Canadian culture and hunting ethics.

The difference being that most of us aren't out grandstanding about it. I teach hunter safety. I've done it for ten years. I teach it in a very inclusive way. Not in a "This is how you manage your deer if you're a master like me" kind of way.

I'm offering to share my knowledge and skills with someone who presumably knows nothing about what deer hunting entails. There are many masters on this site who can show someone how our specialty is done. I am one of many. They should be offering to mentor others as I am. Or post informative threads on how they do it. They can take who ever they want to take hunting, or likewise enjoy it by themselves.

It took me many years to learn what I know and I'm excellent at what I do. That makes me a master. If someone was a "master smithe" knifemaker and advertised their knives or a knifemaking course as such would you get triggered? If you put your kid in an ice hockey training camp run by "elite athletes" or "professional ice hockey players" are they grandstanding? If you have a PhD in something they call you doctor...do you have a problem with that too?

It is apparent in the comments how we think differently regarding the same thing. I enjoy the discourse. We all love the hunt. We love the animals. We want our passion to live on in a new generation.

So if you're wanting to learn from a master, then message me and we can discuss the details further about how to get involved in the only post to my knowledge on Gunnutz offering to take someone out hunting.

Usually a doctor has a degree on their wall and a master smith has knives to show you…

Website full of hunters, sportsman and folks who want to hunt...
Thousands of posts and threads about hunting...
umchorn2...only member with a post offering to take someone out hunting...

There’s an entire thread for people offering and asking for mentors.

I have hunted with several board members, the pm function exists

If I get a ndp membership card can I shoot one of your cull bucks? You can hold my hand on the way to the blind and whisper sweet nothings in my ear while I’m lining up the shot if you like

I’m Alberta resident but it shouldn’t matter because they are your deer right ?

There really should be a like button on cgn.

I guess what I'm saying is I don't consider myself a "Master" but I am an avid outdoorsman who has friends who are Liberal types. I have taken a few hunting and discussed the merits of hunting with them. I try and present hunting in a palatable way to the general public to help gain greater acceptance of the sport. I have a been teaching hunter safety and firearm safety for 10 years now which means I have taught about 350 kids and adults. I don't consider what I'm doing special or different than a lot of other hunters I know and therefore don't feel it's worth grandstanding about.

The hits just keep on coming!!!

A master and legend all in one, well in your own mind anyways. I'm surprised we never saw you on that hunting show "The Experts" but then I guess a "Master" is above an expert on the hunting pyramid?! You are the only person who is more annoying to listen to than Stan Potts and that is saying something!!

I know an expert when I see one. And you sir must be one! An expert on commentary! With a post count nearing 10,000 and commenting about just about every thread, especially the ones I start, you've always got something well though out (cough - impulsive, spiteful and tinged in jealousy) to say. If you spent even half the time out in the field learning about deer and where the bucks live instead of on Gunnutz you might have a chance to see a big old deer.

I'd like to shoot an animal as close to it's full potential or peak as possible. That is a 6 year old whitetail. That to me is a hunt. That to me is a worthy challenge. A buck of that age and caliber is a very rare thing these days with all the amatuers, I mean meat hunters that can't pass an easy shot on a fawn, yearling, doe or dink buck, partly because they just can't resist the impulse to kill when presented but also because they are far too lazy and inexperienced to find an older, smarter deer to begin with. For to do that would take time, preparation, energy, money, and experience and most importantly getting their fat arse out of their 4x4 truck and into the deer woods.

I did see and enjoy the 2 blurry pictures you posted of that old, past his prime mule deer on the road - probably already with late stage CWD that's why a guy like you was able to even catch a glimpse of a deer that old. I've seen some of the deer pics you've posted proudly about the one the girlfriend killed. That two year old 4x4 you had shoulder mounted. I'm glad her tag was notched and the freezer filled. I pass on several of those and usually a couple older than that each year. I just don't think it's ethical to end the life of an animal before it has a chance to grow up and reach maturity. And to tell you the truth I prefer cow rib steaks anyways on my Treager grill.

I haven't been posting much lately because I've been spending a lot of time searching for and preparing for a shot at a fully mature deer as well as putting together interesting threads to post that keep guys like you out of the deer woods or off the backroads. Well Spank, thanks for your continued interest and support on my threads old buddy, maybe one day we can notch our tags side by side, I'll pass on the shooter to you so you can finally say you shot a shooter!

Honestly you crack me up. I could care less about antlers or antler size. All I care about is having fun hunting and if I can put a little meat in the freezer all the better. You think a coyote or wolf passes on a deer because it hasn't reached maturity? Only pretentious individuals who feel they have something to prove are concerned about how big a set of antlers they can collect.
But since you are a Master answer me this. How would you know if that big healthy mulie I saw had CWD? Oh I know, because some guy like me saw it and had it in range. You post alot of pictures of non-shooters in your mind. Where are the pics of your cultivated-managed shooters? Could you possibly even "manage" to see one never mind shoot one?
Another question, I never responded to your thread earlier this fall asking for donations of duck and goose meat. Where did that thread get to? I am sure many here would love to see how a "Master Hunter" has to advertise on a hunting forum for donations of meat! However if you are hungry and it's not just to stoke your freezer for a picture to show the masses how you can add accomplished warerfowler to your "Master" title I would be happy to donate you some goose breast, goose sausage, jerky etc to help feed you. I'd throw in some venison but I have only a little left as I tend to shoot younger immature deer as I prefer tender to tough and notched tags as opposed to tag soup. :)
