It is not mine, found the photo online. Not a wheel gun guy, but hot damn! Kinda makes ya change your mind.

I owned a boatload of semis before I tried a revolver. I never really got into the revolver look... But then I saw one of those S&W 686 5", 7 shot with an unfluted cylinder.... Love at first sight. I actually prefer it over all my other pistols now. I would rather have it by my side than any other pistol I own. :eek:
 
#1. As an article of faith, every Gun Nut should fire a .44 magnum or larger pistol cartridge at least six times. (that number is not an accident) You may not enjoy the experience enough to buy a .44 Magnum/.460 S&W/choose your poison, but you owe it to yourself to experience a handlheld howitzer.

#2. Firing said cartridge out of a gun that is not equipped with a cylinder detracts from the spiritual impact of point #1. Deagles and Automags are cool in their own way...but big-@rse wheelguns are cooler. Much less "I'm a blinged out punk" and much more "do you feel lucky, punk?".
 
Same here, I had a few semis before I got into revolvers. The semis looked cool to a certain point. Then once I started with the wheel guns I realized that there have their own advantages. I love my revolvers + I never have to kneel down to pick up the brass.

Is that one the picture 12/6?

hehehe, first gun I ever touched actually (44 mag Taurus Raging Bull). Two boxes of ammo later, here I am. Still need to buy one of my own.

y'know it's kind of funny how often the number 4 shows up in life- i'm beginning to think it is the magic number in life, not 7- i started with a 45acp, then at about 44, got tired of chasing brass around and went the revolver route- ruger redhawk in 44 - 7.5 inch barrel and a scope if i want it- now i'm shooting a 45 colt blkhwk, but i'm shopping for a shorter barreled 44 redhawk

I emailed S&W this morning to see if I could have one built in the Performance Center with a 106mm barrel. They haven't replied yet, but hopefully it might be possible.
