So whats listed on the transfer is the right gun (serial number), but they just wrote "sig 220" instead of "sig 226"? (Or whatever it was...). I personally wouldn't let that stop me from picking up the gun, the manufacturer and serial number are what matters. Maybe the cfo can figure it out in the future, but how many years is that going to take?

agreed...I picked it up today.
 
I’m in Ontario, purchased a used restricted from a private seller in Nova Scotia on August 1st and still no word, also purchased a brand new restricted from a store in Ontario the same week, no word on that one either. so it’s been almost 4 months.

Based on the ONTARIO Business to Private sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...8_QXgkdaFnx7oKc2hhdN-8IZRg/edit#gid=386145428 you likely won't be getting the business restricted until end of Dec 2022. Private sales seem to be lagging behind store sales.

I've still waiting for three restricteds purchased in July so I get your frustration.
 
Just got an update from a buddy. BC transfer, ordered July 27 from business, he got his transfer notification today. #5979###.

Did you and this private seller each contact the RCMP and obtain a reference number in August? Just checking, because the timer starts from when the transfer was initiated, not necessarily the date you made the purchase. “No word” had me worried for you.
 
Aug. 20th purchase from Alberta business.
Transfer initiated Aug. 21st.
Called BC CFO this morning and got through after a few times of trying. On hold for only 10 minutes. A very nice lady approved my transfer while on the phone. Was advised they were currently processing July transfer requests.

From what I gathered on here it looked like it would have probably been approved by sometime in January had I not called. But I wanted my new pistol arriving during XMAS present season so the wife would just think it’s a present for her or one of the kids. ;)
