Pack Rifles

Not sure I’d call it a “novelty”, but definitely a niche firearm. Everyone is so used to buying cheap products from china and cheap firearms from turkey and brazil that they forget what goes into building quality products at home. I have made my ears ring too many times blasting at grouse with my big game rifles, and hiking 10-20km with a 3-4lb badger or 10/22 isn’t feasible to me. I sure wouldn’t buy one as a stand alone rifle, but certainly would to carry one as a canadian “side arm”. I have one ordered...
I do agree that their website is terrible.

You...hunt...without earpro?

Damn. That's crazy.

I love my Peltors in the bush. I can hear way better than naked ears and I don't have to go home to the phone that never gets answered...

Now this is something to carry into elk or moose camp with your big rifle to keep food on the grill! Hopefully you ordered lots prophet river haha

Looks like an interesting rifle, I would certainly want the trigger guard...

Also has anybody looked at the photos section of the site and seen the badass kid killing cougars and bobcats with this thing? Hopefully they were in traps...

Funny it's the same badass kid in all the pictures wearing the same clothes

Not quite. If you look at his shirt under the coat it goes from red with a black collar, to red, to blue.

Neat, but I think the Henry survival rifle has more appeal

They are two totally different products IMO. The pack rifle is for backpackers where every ounce counts. Many backpackers would go without a gun due to the weight, myself included. When you're trying to get your entire kit under a certain weight (often 15lb or less) a 4lb rifle is a lot of weight.

I want one for grouse and rabbits while big game hunting. I currently have a Savage Rascal I use for that job, and for 1.7lb weight savings I'm not sure I can justify $700+, so I'm not in the position to buy one right now, but I sure WANT one...

Savage Rascal is lighter... neither come close to how light the pack rifle is...

Yep, I own plenty of backpack rifles but nothing come close to pack rifle. I love mine and use it occasionally but it spends most of the time in my grab and go car kit.

But will there be more coming? Sorry lazy. I missed out on the last run. Badgers (I have three) are kind of like the Glocks of light, single shot .22's. These things are the Infinity's (well maybe not quite as Guchi), of the light weight single shot .22.
