Looks like a decent example. Probably not rebarelled.
If there is no maker mark on the barrel shank, it's an FNA Brescia. They stopped applying maker markings in late 1941.
Anyone find cleaning rods in their rifles?
Not I.
Anyone find cleaning rods in their rifles?

Measured the hole depth in my stock at 10". So the cleaning rods for the Cavalry Carbine are two x 9" correct?
Who sells the proper sling for these models? Prefer original but a repop would do.
I think the rods are 9.75". There was a guy in eBay selling a bunch of them. For all I know some us dealers are robbing them out to sell separately.
Say it isn't so. That would be unethical
Liking that 1901! Wish mine was earlier dated, but oh well, I got a decent one….
Military Surplus, there shouldn't be any cleaning rods with those rifles. There is no hole in the stock for them or an internal threaded block.
I did some deep cleaning of the bore of my Carbine today. It's still very nice and shiney but it was loaded with copper fouling.
No rust or pits under the fouling thank goodness.
I am assuming that when they did their last shooting stint, they used non corrosive ammo??? I didn't know any of the military stuff was non corrosive? Maybe it was post war ammo, ordered specially for the Police??
I thought the cleaning rods were stored in the buttplate
