Looks, make sure that Leupold is optically centered before you put it in the rings. Then do all your windage adjustment with the two screws on the rear of the base to get it bore sighted. Then use them to adjust the windage the range as well.

You will barely need to adjust the windage in the scope at all. Fine-tune it at whatever range you want to have it zeroed using the interior adjustments.

I yewse a 1" solid stainless rod for set'in up the rings.
Tewk ah bitt awf tern'in the dial tuh git the scope centered.
Pewt the bore sight in the prawper lowcayshun and gitter close tuh plum as pawsibble.
Then did the right/left windage and rear mount screwy buzziness until the scope +'airs was
dang'neer purrfickt.

Amazing how easily things come together when werk'in wid good chit.

And thanks Leupold furr dewn it..............

Now jest need tuh unbern our range ....................:(

if you cannot find one p.m me i think i a leupold one piece and a leupold two piece mount and a red field i do beilve all for the mighty model 7.

This base fixed the lack of windage problem.
Scopes work better with the + hairs centered in the mechanism as well.
Less chances of failure.
