Since you got your ten-round AR mags from Questar...

...have you used your other five round mags?

Can't see why I would. I mean, it's kind of like asking if you'd still be driving your Ford Focus after acquiring a Porsche or something along those lines: outside of exceptions, what could possibly motivate someone to move back? :D

My 10 rounders are still in the packages... just bought then encase they close that loophole... My 5/30 round mags look way cooler

I really enjoy the 10 rounders. All we need now is to find a way to legalize 30 round pistol mags that work in AR-type rifles :p

Cheers

Using 5 round mags

I only use the 5 rounders if I am working up a load and want to shoot a series of groups with powder increments. Oh, and if someone wants to shoot my AR I give them those. It just looks like they are going to shoot a lot with a 5/30. Sometimes I let them choose which mag. Doesn't matter. They always go for the big mag . . .

I miss gopher hunting with my AR-15 and 30 rounders. Those were the days...... *SIGH*

I have gotten into firearms too late to remember such great days. :(

The 5 round pinned magazine rule is ludicrous. How is a stupid rivet going to stop a criminal from converting to regular capacity magazine?????

Sigh indeed.

Its not going to stop criminals. I am just a young guy but I dont ever remember hearing about someone robbing a bank with a AR. So where did this stupid law come from anyways?

If they "Close that loophole" you'll be required to pin thoes too...so really there was no point in doing that.

Yes, i still use my 5/30 (have 12 of them) for some types of shooting circumstances... ex: 5 shot grouping application and prone position for resting the mag on the ground (gives more stability). I use my 10 rounders mostly for fast plinking, close range, cqb-type firing.
