About 90% of the hunters here in NS do exactly that. For the most part they are hunting over bait at very close range but head/neck shots are definitely the order of the day out here.

Right around 2760 with a (book) max load of CFE223. Which is slow. I got some RL17 that I may try or I may just work a bit higher with the CFE223. Be nice to get north of 2900.

The TTSX is very accurate though.

I bought a few boxes of 160gr TTSX and plan to load some up aswell. Quickload shows me in a 24" barrel, 2900-2950fps with the right powders is obtainable. Which should make an excellent flat shooting 8mm bullet.
