When pistols return: your first buy?

That IF you are even able to get a green card or Visa and you are even allowed to own one after the back ground checks.

When they removed the LGR.

Either way, better chance of getting into the USA than a government that will allow the import and purchase of handguns again.

Why haven't you moved yet? I find it funny when you get these Canadians going on how great America is, yet they're sitting at home in Canada #####ing.

Did that change anything regarding what you can and can't purchase? No it did not.

Sure it did, it allowed people to buy NR without the Government putting their greasy fingers in the Pot.

/\ this. Definitely more 1911's. But since I have a few very nice ones already, I think I will replace my FNX45. That is a big-boy gun for sure.

The FNX 45 was one that I really want to add. Just couldn't find one. Right now I am searching for a second HK45C slide to have milled for a red dot.
Need that super tactical bigbore.

I missed out on the chance to grab a revolver at the time. I'm glad I have the pistols I do despite them remaining unfired. Still kicking myself for not taking action when they were being blown out for decent prices by auction companies for a decent .357 when I could.

It seems the last few yrs, I have been shooting more center fire revolver then even my target 22's also more 9mm and less 45 because of ammo costs

I too doubt things will change, but PP seems to have balls, so hopefully he will reverse all this nonsense. I was looking for a Beretta 92X Performance at the end, so I'd surely look for one again if I ever get the chance. A nice revolver would be nice. Perhaps a Manurhin or Korth? A nice Colt .45 would be cool. A lot of choices out there! One thing is sure, looking at the Dealer News section here is really not as exciting for me as it was before the ban, especially during huge sales like Black Friday or Boxing Day. I already miss those days...Thanks Trudeau I guess.

I'm not holding my breath. I was able to get a custom BHP imported right before the ban. I had a 9mm CCO project with Heirloom Precision that couldn't be completed in time. If the laws are reversed I am wary of spending so much on a custom piece that potentially could be banned and confiscated by future governments. I was able to get a Colt Python and 2 .357 Uberti Cattlemen in 4.75" barrel before the ban. If it was lifted a Ruger 4.2" GP 100 as a tough beater revolver would be nice.

I'm good for semi autos, doubled up and stocked up on parts on my favorite models. I ended up with 6 BHP's, was planning to sell some surplus hi powers but the ban ended that plan.

Well I am less than 8 years away from getting a pension that will allow me not to work again so that is why I'm still here. Also, my wife is from the USA so it won't be an issue for me to move there. Enjoy life in the butthole of Canada! Yes, I'm referring to Nova Scotia. Certain states are great, others are just as bad as Canada.

Sold a couple LAR Grizzlies before the end which I regret. I'd buy another if I could.

I hear ya Graham. The only handgun I kinda regret selling was a FA 83 Premier Grade with all the fixings in 500 Wyoming Express. Bought it off Gun Broker for $1300 USD, dollar almost par at the time. With import fees, taxes and shipping around $2000. Brass dies etc add another couple hundred. Sold it for what I paid, hate to see what they go for now, hopefully the Turd gets flushed and Poilievre thaws the freeze.
