PRIMERS at 500 per K

Cabelas just had br2 in stock for a few days earlier this week. $19.99 per 100. These days that is a very fair price. Seen some for $30 per 100 at a local shop.

Seems even local shops are gouging these days. Not just the townpost sellers.

Canada's Gun Store was advertising today CamPro LRP at $139/K. Prophet River had them a few weeks back at $180/K. So not only does it seem they are trickling back to market, but the price is SLOWLY moving in the right direction

Its kind of fun to carry some primers in to the auction under my arm and push out enough carts of shot-shells and bullets until my truck springs sag.if nothing else its one of though fee chances in life for a successful do over :)

CamPro/Ginex primers have always been a budget option and are not representative of name brand pricing.
I love my Ginex primers just the same and am glad to have many thousands to plink with but benchrest worthy they are not.

Correct, they have their place. That place is perfect for anything I shoot freehand since I'm not putting match, or even name brand, primers in a 105 year old SMLE :p

I was across the border in Washington today and they had CCI 200 for $8/100. Limit two per customer. That’s a good sign. I didn’t want to mess with buying/bringing them home since I don’t think you are allowed to export them but maybe they are starting to come out again.

Capitalism working the way it should...Simple law of supply and demand.

Small primers are becoming more available here in Canada for the last 6 weeks as well. If you take your 80$ US a brick and add exchange and whatever canadian distributors import fee you come up with the 140-180$ prices in Canada.

Some good news. Local to me store got in some federal215’s. price was 99.99 plus tax per 1000. A friend told us about it and I told two who were in need and that was the end of them. No idea why the price was so good but I wasn’t arguing. I hope more come in and the prices stay low. Good luck and happy primer hunting.

Saw some 215 primers at the local co-op for $12.99/100. Looks like the drought might be coming to an end???

I agree - prices are stupid now, but it's not greed ... it's pretty stupid to sell something for less than it's worth. Would you sell your car, or your house for less than it's worth just because things cost less 10 years ago when you bought it?

Prices seem to be coming down again anyway.

I agree with you, supply and demand in effect. But 5 times the price is a little ridiculous. Personally I have enough primers to last me a while and I am not in the market, but when I see that I paid roughly $80 per 1K when they were really hard to get and people want $500...

More like 8-12 times the price.
I paid $65.00 for BR-2’s before the panic started.
Regular LRP’s we’re going for less than $40.

Just a friendly PSA, but X-Reload just got Federal 215Ms in stock. Max 500 every 60 days, $16.99/100.
They have 205 and 205Ms, BR2 and BR4s in stock as well.
Unholy

I paid under $50/1k for my primers have enough to burn out the barrel so I am good not interested in paying inflated prices

Most of my stash was at $30 or less per 1K. I think I'm good for a while.

We are our own worst enemies when it comes to these shortages because we fuel these insane prices , will things go down to pre pandemic prices not likely, will they be affordable most likely. But what i will not be doing is paying any more then 200$ at the very top end for premium primers per 1k , 90-100$ is more realistic.
