Some interesting things talked about, 2 MOA with MG 7.62 ammo from the PPS and 2-4 MOA guaranteed for 20,000 rounds from the regular Bren 2.

Hopefully these trickle in at some point

From CZs website
"With a guaranteed accuracy of 2 MOA at 600 m (using recommended semi-automatic ammunition and for the entire service life of barrel – up to 10,000 shots)"

Not bad, only 0.5 MOA more than the H&K G28. The political climate in this country needs to change if these are going to be available in quantity for consumers.

Could they piggyback this on the FRT entry for the 5.56 /7.62x39 mm Bren 2? If not, hopefully CZ will submit it for approval; there's much less competition for it here then in the United States, even with us being a much smaller market, and hopefully they've noticed how many have bought the intermediate cartridge Bren 2s.

Sadly from what I've heard its a semi auto conversion of their full auto Bren 2 BR which would be prohibited here. Until CZ makes a semi auto only reciever for it theres no real chance. Hopefully they do at some point but they dont seem that interested.

I heard it is a redesigned semi-auto only, and not a full-auto conversion...+ 1 or 2 if ever made available here...

"hint" "hint" @North Sylva and @Marstar ;)

I am sure you know the difference between receivers and can demonstrate or explain it. I always like to learn something new.

Looks good, I'd be interested. I sure hope they start adding those lowers with the option to switch out grips on the 5.556 versions soon too.

Its an educated assumption, since the Bren 2 BR (308 full auto) existed first and this is a modified version of it for military sale would you design a completely new upper/lower combination that couldn't take full auto parts or would you just throw a semi auto selector and trigger into the parts you already make.

Watch the video in post #1 14:17 He says the staff are pushing for a civilian market variant, not a civilian market version exists.

Oh and the full auto FRT for the Bren 2 includes the 308 model where as the Bren 2MS NR FRT lacks the 308 model.

Realistically no one here can really give you the definitive answer you're looking for but also no one can show you a Bren 2 BR and PPS that are functionally different to the point where you couldnt just toss a full auto trigger pack onto it because they likely don't exist outside of CZUB's factory or military hands.

There are enough pics and vids from Ukraine. The thing is that it's lower that has fun parts, not upper (which is considered frame and serialised). Well, upper has BCG which is also different from semi version. It would be interesting to know how lab assess firearms where upper is considered frame. Because logic "could house fully auto parts" doesn't work here.

Obtaining the parts and the specifications for the machining required to convert is outside of the ability of most of the population. Sure a full on gunsmith that can build firearms from scratch could with enough money and time get it to operate once, but that is not what the firearms act meant by easily converted.

The same is true for the registered part of the firearm. If the frame or receiver was never machined for or assembled with the full auto parts after serialized. The idea that someone may do this or that with an item after they obtain it is already covered in the firearms act and criminal code with penalties, there is no need to ban something because someone might do this or that

You speak logic, I speak facts.
"Easy to convert" or as law says "capable of firing in full auto" - RPD saga where lab took sweet time and manufactured parts and modified receiver and called purposely designed semi auto RPD-looking US gun as "fully automatic".

Tavor 7 still stands king then eh, ;)
