My latest addition

I have been fighting with work and other commitments(plus cold weather) to get this one going but here she is almost done.

Details so far:

-300SAUM Remington Ti
-2.5-8 Leupold VX-III
-Talley lightweight rings
-Action bedded
-Barrel free floated
-Gre Tan lightweight bolt shroud/ firing pin assembly
-Bolt handle polished flat, no knurling
-Timney trigger/safety, set at 2 pounds
-Factory stock, painted tan(for now, may upgrade stock down the road???)
- Barrel will be chopped shortly to 22" and re crowned

All work done by myself. I have not had a chance to weigh it yet but at this time I am figuring it is sitting at about 6.5 pounds. I still need to do some work to the trigger guard as well.

Here are my last for shots taken Sunday using 165g Accubonds. Would have been a real nice group if I hadn't pulled the second shot . I thought it was the last shot that I screwed up but my spotter said not a chance.

I still have a few loads to work on, but I am getting very close to where I want it. I have had some not so great experiences with Remington's that I have owned in the past, but this one has given me some new faith.

Looks good, but you should rechamber it to .303 British.

What paint did you use for the stock? My 260 Ti will be in this week and will be set up very simular to yours but with a VXII 3-9x40 Long Range Duplex. I'll play with the factory trigger for now and consider a jewell if need be. She'll be bedded for sure. Did yours come with the R3 recoil pad or was that an add on?

yeah, really nice job on the bolt - i hate the knurled factory Remington bolt handle more than anything but never thought to just polish it flat.

Nothing wrong with a .300 or a 7mm SAUM, but is for handloaders only.

No word on paint yet as I am still testing how durable this is before I decide wether I am keeping it or not, I will let you know. Yup, R3 came on it.
