Hello guys, I just received my first shotgun from cabela, it's a franchi affinity 3.5 waterfowl elite. I came to assemble it following the instructions but something is weird. The tube doesn't seem to fit in the forearm when I slide it in (see picture). Therefore, I cannot insert the tube inside the stock without doing some serious bending (which I didn't do). What's going on here ? QC issue ?

I don't know if the link to my picture works, I can't post otherwise because the file is better than 100kb or something.

Ok I have a benelli SBE and my son shoots the Franchi ,I'm trying to picture you're problem but the barrel tube that goes over the magazine does not fit in the stock. It is at the end of the stock and the cap locks it in place.

I know it doesn't go all the way to the end of the stock, thing is the tube won't even fit at all inside because of the angle created by the tube not sitting in the forearm completely.

If it doesn't go together best to call Stoeger Canada and talk with the warranty guy, have pics ready to send to him so he knows what youre talking about.

Well, that's what im gonna do since Cabelas are basically telling me to fk off it's not my problem...
Never buying a firearm from them again, and neither should anyone.

they do say that when you`re purchasing, that any issues must go through warranty, and not them, they cant and wont touch a gun the second it leaves the front door of the store its your problem as the guy told me when i was buying a mossy 500 combo , just corporate cover their ass policy, sucks

Yeah well I wish it would of been more obvious with a big warning when I placed my order online. Im sure it was stated somewhere but in tiny winy letters at the bottom of some paragraph.

Well, not to be disrespectful, but I hope it's just a simple misunderstanding on your part about assembly. It happens to all of us, especially with a new thing. And that means you don't have to go through warranty, mailing, etc.

Can you put pictures on another platform we can all see?

Yes FLH is correct the alignment is tricky when you have not done it before but the bolt must be back for the barrel to align ,it is nothing like any of my other semi autos, but I hope you do not have to deal with Stoeger. That in my experience is/can be utterly hopeless,

As I said, I brought it to my armourer, who confirmed it was defective. Wish I could post pics and videos but the site won't let me do it unless I pay for premium subscription bs for bigger files.

Send it back , why struggle with it.
Your armourer said it was defective, you have a professional opinion the peanut gallery (speaking of myself) would not hesitate to place it back in the box and have a photo copy of the receipt included in the box along with a description of said problem.
Eazee Peazee.

You bought from Cabela's recently, and so presumably have a receipt. Franchi and Benelli are under Stoeger Canada, and if memory serves me correctly, Franchi has a 7-year warranty on their firearms. Go and register the firearms on the Stoeger Canada/Franchi site (make sure your receipt is digitally scanned as you'll need to upload it and then open up a warranty call on it).

Speaking from experience, Stoeger is great at warranty work in terms of turning it over. Two years ago my new Tikka Tact A1 came with a defective muzzle brake. The retailer wouldn't take it back so I registered the firearm with Stoeger (who does the Tikka work as well) and got the gun to them and they confirmed it was a defective MB and had it back to me in two shakes). I'd encourage you to contact Stoeger after registering your Franchi with them for warranty. I'm pretty certain they'll fix it for you (if you live in the Durham area, you can drop it off, and they can either ship it back to you or you can pick it up) - otherwise your only cost will be shipping it to them once they open up the RMA.

Is there any burrs inside the barrel ring section of the forend .from the video it looks like the barrel ring needs to seat a couple more millimeters deeper into the forend to allow the rear of the forend to seat on barrel . Is the barrel channel wide enough to accept the barrel ?
