All-New: Type 81M

Looks unacceptable to me.

Edit: 4mm or 5/32" angular misalignment over the span of 2 1/2 feet is such an absurdly sloppy standard.

Sorry you got a bad rifle. I'm not trying to rub it in but if you go back and read all of my comments this is the type of thing i tried to bring to light.
This is happening because people like yourself don't demand better products from TI. I mentioned it from the beginning that TI has to do an inspection and not send out rifles like this. And a handful of people including yourself called me a troll and tried to shut me up and I got called all kings of names and it turned into something else
How do you feel now? There are a lot of these rifles bent this will keep happening until people hold TI responsible.
You probably got someone else returned rifle and who knows, you send it in and the one you get might be worse.
When i ordered i didn't know this issue was still happening 7 years later, that's why i came on this forum and i seen reports of bent rifles from the beginning if you go back and count probably there are more reports of crooked rifles then straight ones.

I won't bash them here what's the point I just sent them and email stating the rifle is canted beyond what I will accept. I will take a verified straight rifle as a replacement.
Whining over and over gets you nowhere as far as I'm concerned.

how would you even aim that thing hahah Im sure these rifles shoot, but I cant handle the lottery. I will be cancelling my order if its not too late. I will purchase second hand, at least I can inspect it.

Looks like my first fixed stock T81 that I consider unsaleable.

It’ll shoot just fine, it’ll run like a sewing machine, so long as you don’t mount a receiver optic, that will likely max out your windage without shimming the mounting plate.

The hard part to swallow is nobody will buy if from you.

If you sell it as is, you’ll get a negative trader rating. You’d have to sell at a loss.

I had lots of folks call me unscrupulous when I posted pics of my bent T81 in (2018?) “it’s an illusion, it’s not a good photo, etc, etc”

It’s only .1 percent (or something really low) of the rifles right? … Yeah right!

I still rolled the dice on this batch and got lucky - it’s all you can do.

Never bet more than you can afford to lose.

-'Order Received' email - March 14, 2am

I have other T81's to fondle, so I am patiently waiting.

For those that were interested, i posted details of the refinishing process i used in my t81"M" thread in "red rifles".

I'd be interested to hear what their response to you is.

Does anyone usually know what TI's response time is to warranty and repair e-mails? Going on a week of no response now. Easter weekend might have something to do with the delayed response though.

Hi everyone,

Ordered on March 13, 279###, it’s an under folder and I got it yesterday. A similar picture was posted before, but here’s it is for those familiar with the design.

At the front of the chamber, where the bullet sits, the front is not flat, but it does look it’s intentional and not a defect or a machining issue. Anyone knows if that’s how it’s supposed to be, is yours the same ? Please stop just bashing the product just for the sake of it, unless you have something positive to add. I understand some people concerns , but it’s getting silly.

Thanks

By design and meant to be there, if your rifle is straight you got nothing to worry about
