You're right, there is audio of the bear killing his girlfriend. It is pretty gnarly and suffice it to say she takes a long time to expire while being basically eaten alive.
That Treadwell was a brain damaged goof.

At the start of the attack on him, Treadwell begged his girlfriend to intercede using their fry pan as a weapon. When he realized he was done for he told her to get away but it was too late to break the dinner reservation.......
 
Unfortunate that someone couldn't invent a telephoto lense for cameras. Oh wait that would mean that the human would need to understand it. Great display of nature culling the stupid ones , I feel sorry for the stress on the moose

I would agree if they had used children but babies is correct. Hands down one of the most consistently off the mark members on here!

Animals dont murder anybody. They do what millions of years of evolution have taught them. The only creature that murders are Humans and the smartest primates. All the rest is just living!! They didnt know better but one does now1

Best moose defence rifle doesn’t get the blood or posts pumping like grizzly defence. Most determined and hair raising charge I’ve had was a Wood Bison, despite guiding a few Grizz over the years. And a step further in the thought, the most dangerous hunting scenarios have all been the travel in and out, here or Africa.

Stupid choices of those involved aside, the threats in the bush are different than those we imagine. Most don’t have claws, and saying pack good outerwear and communications and make good decisions, doesn’t elicit the posts around here rifle deliberations do.
 
A few years back the missus was walking around McConnel Lake with the two GSP's.
Great trail around the lake, usually a forty minute walk... +....-
It's not uncommon that there is a cow moose in there with her calf given the time of year.

She calls me asking me what she should do this one day?

I guess she was in close range with this cow and calf.
She put the dogs on the leashes and didn't wish for the walk back as she was almost done.

I told her to back up slowly and let the dogs off the leash.
The cow wasn't budging from her stance on the trail.

I asked the moose had her ears back?
She said it didn't look too happy.

I told her the other option was to swim across the bay to the parking lot.............:cool:

We had a long chat when she finally got home.
 
I have experienced a bluff charge from a cow moose. It is
Intimidating, believe me!
That being said, I have had Black bears charge as well (3x)
One was in earnest, and I was relieved to have my 30-06
with me that day. Dave.

So, did they murder the moose like they would a bear if were responsible for the demise of a human animal?

Murder is only used to describe human vs human killing. It’s the wrong word to use when discussing animals.

Anthropomorphism is when people start talking about animals as if they’re human by using words such as mother, babies, or murder. Typically only used by millennials and younger generations which seemingly gets worse the younger you are.

C’mon guys, do better! ;)
