Hhhhmm guys, why waste your time with these inaccurate items called SKS's?
Not being rude, just an honest question here.
Cheers.....
DONT BUBBA it if its a factory 26 "1965" ser. or older!!!
i second that.
No trolling, Brutus.
+2, and I have always suspected most shooters abilities are the issue then the rifle itself.
During the Summer my wifes first time at the range, and she was hitting the 200 yards ram with one of my SKS.
My fav target these days at 100 yards is tennis balls hanging from thick string...what I consider Deer vital size.
The SKS is not a target rifle...
Scope or iron sights?
Pure Iron sights.
I won't waste anymore money on receiver cover mounting a scope on an SKS.
I'd do a Kalinka side mount if I had to do it again.
Try shooting it with open sights and see how you do.
I bought a Choate mount that is meant to be drilled and tapped to the receiver, but now I can't bring myself to install it.
I'd rather shoot mine with iron sights and shoot it at close range. I don't want to bubba my nice pieces of milsurp history.

You realize you've just shattered the dreams of all those guys either too poor or too frugal to buy something other than an SKS..?
