Primary Arms GLX 1X Prism Optic

1ABNDT, another benefit I forgot to mention of a front flip up cap on the 3X micro is that it can be used to cap of the lens and then turn on the illumination and run the dot as a make shift 1X red dot type optic using both eyes open, and then flip the cap up to go back to 3X.... works surprisingly well at closer ranges where the 3X blurs the image a bit.

Excellent thank you. Now where did you get it?
I got it from PA in the US through family.

The same place you purchased the 1X is a Midwest Industries distributor, perhaps contact them to see if they will order one.

They also have American Defense QD mounts that will work on their site .

Does anyone know if green glx is anywhere in Canada? Looks like the 2 store I found are sold out

Unfortunately Ashes the GLX in green are all sold out at the moment.

Perhaps get on their notification email.

There is 1 GLX (red) available.

I got mine today. Bigger eye box is much nicer, buttons vs dial is a nice upgrade and it’s definitely very light weight. Glass is good and clear and eye relief is good way out to arm’s length (and probably beyond) but… I think I might sell it.

I keep hoping my eyes aren’t as bad as they actually are but no matter how much I adjust the diopter the reticle just isn’t crisp for me unless the sight is mounted right at the back of the receiver, which was one of my issues with the SLx too. The GLx definitely has the upper hand with the extended eye relief, but it’s not of much use to me if the reticle isn’t crisp. Sigh… on to a LPVO for me.

That's why I hope Primary Arms makes some different reticles available, I find the 1X chevron to be to small to take advantage of with it's tip, under tip and base of the triangle range holds..... those holds don't do much for anyone that's eye's struggle to differenciate the slight elevation changes. I'd rather see a simple circle dot " donut of death style reticle on a 1X

I don't mind the chevron on the 3X as it's larger. While I understand why people like the chevron's, my eyes seem to prefer dots in general.

I also prefer round bead front sights for irons as well.

Sorry to here, sounds like you might need glasses.🤷

One of the attractive features of these sights is the range finding capabilities of the reticle. Without them, it’s just a glorified red dot. That said however, the etched reticle (no battery required), shake awake and other functions are still very attractive. And the long eye relief too, which is typically a major limitation of most prism sights. I might try actually shooting with it to decide if it’s a keeper or not. Just disappointed my eye sight is failing faster than I’m willing to admit.

I hope it works out for you jacotsmith, if not rest assured someone will pick it up.👍

Would an older vortex flip magnifier work behind this or would it maybe need a riser? I am not familiar with the different configurations, I know it's a bit off topic but also I have a Eotech exps2? That I wondered the same thing with, with the magnifier, I know I can unmount and try it.
Anyways, I am hoping the glx x2 comes in soon although some guys I have read were saying 3x is the way to go over the 2x, or you may as well just do the red dot.
