SIR, remember them for sure. Had the old catalogue worn out in a couple months from thumbing through them, dreaming. Teenager with no money and a sickness for guns. Wish I'd invested in the cheap milsurps back then.
Ellwood Epps built some nice customs back then.

I like those old catalogues. The old SIR was always around the farm when I was a kid. It's a classic.

.
Ya, I went looking for old SIR and Districorp, more Centurys etc to scan, but they are hard to find. This one is 120+ pages, so its taking a while. Saw some old remington parts catalogues at the gunshow today, honestly thought about you when I saw the 720s etc, but passed on them.

Have you got this one from Epps? 1979/1980

It's full of interesting stuff. Articles, history and lots of cool stuff for sale. 250 pages.

If you'd like to have it, PM me your address and I will get it to you after the strike.

.
Thanks, might pass on 250pgs though. Took about 5 hours to do about 130.
Anyway this one is done.

Yeah, 1962 when Canada was still half-assed normal.

Too bad I was too young to understand what was to come.

NAA.

I still have pretty much every SIR catalog from 1969 until they changed over to Cabelas. When I was a kid in school back in the 70s those SIR catalogs were like a bible to me, I carried them along with me with all my other school books at all times.

I think 'there's an app for that'... you just take a pic of each page and it automagically does the thing, and you get a nice digitized copy in hi res. And I mean you can organize, format etc. any way you like.
