I'm looking to start figuring out a new build and can't decide between these two actions. I do have an ultimatum deuce 22lr which is similar to the deadline. I want a 60 degree bolt throw. Currently have a defiance and not a fan of the 90 degree bolt throw. Anyone have feedback on the Deadline gen 2 or the SAR3?

I don't have either of those, but use a cadex R7 action for a 6.5CM bench rifle.

Have a defiance as well, and really love the small bolt throw of the cadex compared to the difiance.
Can't really go wrong with the dealine, now that IBI is running things, and you already have the duece. The cadex just offers another very comparable option.

What’s the end goal for the rifle ? I know it’s a precision rig but what flavour of precision / target rifle ?

So really either would work. I’ve wanted to try KS stuff for a while so that gets my vote however the end vote always goes to what my wallet likes more haha until it’s proven wrong.

I do agree with this sentiment! I just usually end up waiting for a good deal on the used market cause I hate paying retail prices. Only thing I pay full price for is gunsmith work.

I don't disagree with buying used. Most of my stocks/chassis I grab off the EE for a discounted price. But, you likely wont find someone selling their KS action. They're THAT nice. And what's even nicer now is Go Big sells prefits for the SAR from PVA. So I believe you have more options for them for prefits than an Ultimatum. Obviously unless you're getting your smith to spin you one up.
I have a number of Ultimatum Deadliness and love them. They all headspace identically so swapping shouldered barrels is easy. I have never had a KS but I have seen them at a gunsmith friends place and they also look impressive. I wouldn't be concerned about buying either of these makes as I feel they are that good.
I have a 3 lug Terminus Zeus and love it. Different animal for sure from my 2 lug Impact (also a great action - both have their strengths / weaknesses)
When I was considering a 3 lug it came down to the Terminus or the KS, in the end I went Terminus but KS make slick products. I still kinda feel like I will need to scratch the KS itch at some point in the future.

The other canadian 3 lug is the cadex seven stars. It has a lot of nice featurea too.
Where did you buy the Terminus? I saw onsite carried them but they’re out of stock.
Bighorn Sales in BC is the only place I know of that carries them.
Insite Arms has an action with the same design but different branding.
