Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Regarding the crown over RP stamp, we do not know much about it, except that it is found on some 1640 rifles. That might be some reproof stamps as the crown seems to be scandinavian, but since the Scandinavian (Finland excluded) countries aren't members of CIP, their stamps aren't standardized of well known.

Now I'm really curious. Are these reproofs associated with any particular ranges of serial numbers? You did mention that they appear on 1640 rifles, but isbthis across the whole production run, or just on a particular range?

No, it seems to be some late rifles but they were not repertoriated yet. Even the Swedes I know can't identify the stamp, but we know these rifles are / were in Sweden, at least those we could have seen.
It might have been some company who bought batches of barreled actions and restock them, as per I have seen were not in original HVA stocks.

Here is a pic of the 1900 Husqvarna I posted on age 139 with the high serial number .Removed it from the stock there are no markings other than those in the pic

It's an interesting animal. As per my first impression, I am pretty confident is saying it's a post Swedish production receiver. Nice curiosity piece !

Hi I'm looking a purchasing a model 46 in 9.3x57
my question is, is it better to fireform the 8x57 brass in the rifle,
or expand it in the 9.3x57 dies? does anyone have any pros and cons for either method?

There are already threads on this item.

You can full length resize 8x57 to 9.3x57 with the hornady die set. Lube the cases well, particularly inside the neck.

The Hornady die is easy to use with 8x57 brass. Just fit the brass to the chamber, load and shoot. Also, make sure the neck is not too tight, as per many rifles have tight neck and the brass need to be turned.

Hi! I own a CG1900 left hand in 270win.
thinking of rebarreling to 6mm Creedmoor. Would that bring any problems, like feeding, etc?
Is there other parts that would need to be changed other than the barrel for such a conversion?
thanks

Is there a picatinny rail for the model 1900?
i have a VX3i 3.5-10x40 on my 270. But it’s mounted to far forward to be comfortable.

Here is a response from an earlier discussion on this thread:
Contessa Picatinny Rail for Antonio Zoli 1900 (20 MOA), part number PH05/20 from Opticstrade.eu.

The Antonio Zoli 1900 is a modern (currently in production??) HVA 1900. As you can see, they're pretty spendy.

For me, my scope seems to be fine with weaver bases (a #46 and a #55) and normal rings, but an alternative for you may be to use cantilever rings that would fit your bases.

Well I got my 146 back from the smith today, got the bolt handle sweeped and rail put on. Forgot about the stock and did a bit of bubba-ing today. I’ll re finish that spot after the holidays but other then that she’s ready. Put a weaver k2.5x on there I got off of a fella on here. Ready for bear in the spring!

I've got a strange one. It's a Husqvarna in 8x57 and has a hole drilled thru both sides of the receiver ring. Anyone know why this would have been done ? and would you shoot full power loads thru it?.
