So yes, unfortunately this site can and has shown all these traits.......:(

I especially like the WOKE members who are quick to call out some poor fellow trying to sell a now prohibited rifle who the current WOKE and corrupt Liberals decided it is now on the banned list. Or the Ken and Karen who are willing to call in this nefarious act of selling one's once legally owned property because of fear! Even though yesterday, his/her firearm was non-restricted.

So yes, Head Damage, there are all kinds of WOKE @ss-holes on this site......:(

Not to mention the Liberal citiots who are also on this web-site and are very proud to state they are in fact Liberals and Liberal supporters.

Then there's the trolls, whether or not they are just gun-haters or RCMP undercover officers who pay their membership fee and are allowed to spew the verbal Liberal diarrhea and Liberal narrative. Now yes, free speech allows this, but I for one do not want to hear about Liberal b@g-lickers who vote for and support the communist himself, Trudy-Socks.

I agree with you on one hand, on the other, we can't always choose the actions of our loved ones.

Family dynamics can be very difficult, even estranged in some instances.

So I understand what you are saying, and it's possible the father would assist in making things right. I have decide not to go down this rabbit hole, but just to learn from these mistakes.

The kicker is, the fellow who cheated me and the others, had a positive trader rating of eight transactions all at 100%. Then BOOM, all h&ll broke loose. Apparently he became hooked on drugs and became a lost soul for a time.......:(

Rare opportunity to own a German refurbished mountain carbine however there are some other similarities there are also some differences. Prior to my ownership appeared to have possible Israeli marking (Star of David) That I had removed as well, I also had a small crack professionally repaired in fore-end. Wood stock shows scratches, dent, scuffs,comes with cleaning rod and site hood, marked K98 Model dou. 45, there are German Eagle stamps in the bottom of stock and on the side, there is also a metal plate the left side of the buttstock and a metal cap for the butt plate as found on the Mauser Alpine version as well as a lightened bolt.
Metal shows finish wear, scratches, scuffs, light dents, serials do not match.
Bore is good & barrel has possibly been re-crowned at some point in time. Action works excellent.
Comes with original leather sling. Selling as is where is.

Looks like the ad is back up now with edits. If any of you can prove anything then go ahead. I am not a milsurp guy to the point I can say whatever needs to be said.
 
I think bad dealings happen on both sites and probably all others as well. I appreciate the OP regarding the mauser. The guy is obviously a humper of milsurps , forging, modifying markings to dupe folks into paying inflated prices. Spent a lot of time on an Americsn k98 forum and forgery had gotten so bad particularly in German sniper rifles that members wouldn't post telltales of humped rifles in the open because fraudsters were reading and taking notes. The old hands would email or message a newer member with a significant amount of posts to answer questions about how to identify genuine rifles.

As far as the OP goes, have you done anything to prove the guy is scamming? The world of milsurp is pretty intense. It's something I will likely never bother learning to the extent I do other topics. You can't expect a guy with a perfect rating going back years to get banned without a proper case being presented. It could be as simple as him saying the wrong thing in a PM but you do still have to present some evidence. I would never know that was fake or how to tell but it's not my forte'. It may not be the admin's either. Prove he is scamming and he will be dealt with in a likely permanent manner. All I did was PM saying "FAKE" and it got results.
 
I just looked and "crazy" has 45 adverts as of 11:30, 1/21/25.
Evidently there isn't much being done to his account. If this is all true, he should be banned . . . but likely he'd start again with a new handle.

You see garbage like that so often on this site it is no wonder we are where we are. The eagerness to drop to their knees and lick ass, boots, whatever is pathetic. He went so far as to report the guy(s) for THAT? He is out there somewhere screaming for someone to "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" ERMAGHERD.
 
For those curious, the rifle in question is a complete fake from the ground up. One glaring giveaway is that the German G33/40 was only produced between October 1940 and December 1942, exclusively by DOT (Waffenfabrik Brunn AG). The manufacturer code on an authentic G33/40 can only be either "945" (1940) or "DOT" (1941, 1942).

A "1945 DOU" marking would never appear on a genuine G33/40. Additionally, I’d wager that the "G33/40" marking won’t be found on the side rail, which is another clear indicator of its inauthenticity.
