What kind of powders are you guys using for 303 Brit reloading

I'm using Varget & 4064 for my No4 & No5 for 400 & 500m loads.

BL-C2, have tried IMR 4320 as well but BL-C2 gave better accuracy in that rifle

I have tried a very light plinking load of 12 to 14 gn of Trailboss under a pulled 125 gn 7.62 X 39 projectile. I haven't had a chance to refine the load for accuracy, but this is a start and it is easy on an 80 year old rifle.

IMR 3031 is my go-to powder. Followed by Varget. IMR 4064 and IMR 4895, too.

IMR 3031, IMR 4064 and W748 for jacketed through the years. Settled on IMR 4064 for hunting loads. For cast I use Alliant 2400. A lot of powders work well in the 303 British

Shooters world AR plus for 150grn jacketed in my lee speed sporting rifle.

Military stuff is a cast .313 gc. 24.5 grains of imr4227 for 1800 fps.

I have a pile of 180 jacketed soft points in my stash , but haven't used them for a while. I should revisit them. But the 150s shoot alot flatter.

I use IMR4064. Is it the best? Maybe, possibly, probably not. But I use 4064 in a lot of what I shoot so it makes it easy. I use IMR4064 for 303b, 7.5 Swiss, 7.5 French, 6.5 Carcano, 308 Win, 30-06, etc, etc, etc

After reading this thread I'm going to buy some irm4064,

Also 2400 is nice for cast bullets is you want to push them supersonic speeds (+1200 fps)

What sort of velocity are you guys getting with jacketed bullets ?

I moly coat bullets and use H335, because I bought a bunch Surplus. 44 grains makes about 2350 fos with 280 gr bullets in a ross with a 20 inch barrel.
