Ontario primary moose draw opens today

I'm looking for a small group hunting 18b this fall. Have applied for bull - bow, bull - rifle and cow - rifle, drew 2 bull tags last fall but finances were limited. Between my Dad and I, likely pull 2 bull tags. Would consider a very small group with experience in the harvesting of a moose, would prefer to go on the cheap, but would likely pick up a prospectors tent at minimum.

Does the order in which you select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd preference make any difference? EG I selected 1. bow bull 2. Rifle bull and 3. Rifle cow.
Was I more likely to get a tag if I selected rifle bull as my 1st preference?

if you apply secondary, first choice, you’ll likely get them. Anything else probably not.

Not many archery tags there. They go for a surprising premium. Guys will use a lot of points to be the only ones up there.
 
unsuccessful for me.
I’ll be at 7 points this year. In northern Ontario.
There’s a reason they call a bull tag a golden ticket.
 
1 point +1 northern res, cow/calf tag 18b. Likely decline it.

My wife has enough points for a bull tag there. Not sure if I want to drag her, and our 5 & 7 year old children up there though…
